We loved heading downstairs (underground) to the bar, with its low and moody lighting, impeccably dressed and attentive bartender, excellent music selection, and delicious drinks.We didn’t take photos of the before (shame on us) but the Fabulous French 75 was the best I’ve ever had.If you’re in search of a cozy, low key, old-soul bar- come grab a drink!

This bar has the best vibes and it’s all because of Steve - what a gem! I’m not a bar person and I love this bar. Steve makes an incredible drink called Orange Crush, it’s like a boozy Orange Julius, and a Baltimore staple. Not only does Steve make unreal drinks, his playlist and all around chill hospitable vibes make this a Baltimore destination. He also has great stories, incredible historical knowledge and is one of the best dressed bartenders, I love a great uniform! A true professional. Highly recommend. Thanks for making our visit so fun Steve!

I experienced this place during an eggnog crawl and I'm so happy I found it. The space is tiny but it has bar and banquet seating. It really gives speakeasy feels. I doubt it has food, but I can't wait to come back and have a drink and listen to the stories that this father and son team spin.
Played Christmas music, bartender has the best personality, takes pride in his beverage crafting. Very glad to see it open again. Kudos for everything!

It's #thankyouthursday and there's nothing more I want to do than review this amazing hidden gym during my visit to Baltimore recently!Some friends and I stumbled across anchor bar on the way from an oyster bar and I personally enjoy bars that are barely visible from the street because the door leads underground. As soon as we walked in it felt like we were transported back to the prohibition era. There was a swanky gentleman behind the bar making drinks in a bow tie with the biggest smile in the world. The bar itself only had about 15 stools but there were a few small tables as well and then dimly lit area. I can't begin to explain the artistry on display. Watching the bartender make drinks. I tried a Mandarin bourbon flavored drink with nodes of saffron. You have one. It was arguably the best drink I've ever had in my entire life. I asked the bartender if he could adopt me lol he just told us all these amazing stories about the area and all the celebrities that have come through the bar. We had such a good time and I would ake a train down to Baltimore just to sit at this bar again.
