AJ’s on Hanover is easily one of my favorite spots in town. The food is always amazing—whether you’re grabbing dinner or hitting up their brunch (which is seriously next level). The menu has something for everyone, and everything I’ve tried has been delicious.
The cocktails are super well-crafted and honestly some of the best around—perfect for a night out or a chill weekend brunch. Big shoutout to Amy and Jordan too—they’re both awesome. Super friendly, quick with service, and always make you feel welcome

If you want exceptional bar food, AJ’s is the place! We love their pretzel bites to start, and their buffalo chicken wrap is 🔥. Drinks are good and staff is really nice! Chill spot to hang on a sunny day!

Recently decided to re-try AJ's after memories of the place being average with slow or non-existent service. And surprisingly years later nothing has changed in that respect. The food isn't bad, it's decent enough bar food but it also isn't anything special. It is a fun drunken food menu, so after a few crushes you'll be grand. Same with happy hour pricing and selection, actually pretty good.
However once you have been seated, the waiting begins. 10 mins to get menus and waters, and then one more check in to order food and that was it for service. People from outside had to come inside to order drinks or get the checks. The staff shift changeover means the lunch staff sit at the end of the bar and talk to the current staff while they eat. This means you have 3-4 staff seemly ignoring the entrie bar which isn't a great look. At one stage we looked around the pretty full patio and no one had a drink while the server fiddled with the cold brew machine for 20 mins to refill herself a coffee. Also the floor had food spillages including guacamole left on floor for people to get on their shoes.
