Ordered through DoorDash and waited over 2 hours for my food. The okra stew was disgusting — extremely oily, cold, and full of random nasty meats and fish that did not belong together. The taste and smell were completely off-putting.

The fufu was watery, powdery, and brown, clearly not fully cooked or properly prepared. It had an unpleasant texture and was completely inedible.

The rice was overly salty, making it hard to eat. I spent $40 on food that went straight into the trash. I have picture proof of everything.

This was a terrible experience, and I do not recommend ordering from AJ’s Restaurant. The TikTok reviews were accurate.

I called to asked questions and the guy who answered was very respectful and really helped me choose. I love the food, everything was fresh and great portion size. I definitely will be ordering again. I ordered okra and rice, chicken rice jollof, fataya, and dessert thiacry ?.
