I’m always looking for a good ramen place. When I saw the name included “izakaya” I was hopeful. Unfortunately, there really isn’t any izakaya food on the menu. I ordered the Akita ramen, thinking that it’s their signature ramen and exemplifies their ramen. The soup, tonkotsu (pork bone broth) didn't have the umami I was looking for but ok. The pork shachu was surprisingly good. The noodles were cooked well. I also ordered the gyoza. I was hoping to have a traditional soy sauce/vinegar/ra-yu (hot sesame oil) but they didn't have it (they didn't even know what it was…) the service was great. I would come back here again for a quick lunch.

We’ve been enjoying eating at Akira for a long time but wanted to leave a review because they have been so kind and attentive whenever we bring our baby in. Multiple employees stop by the table to entertain and say hello to our daughter and seem genuinely so excited to have us there. We always let anyone who asks hold her because they love it and it gives us a break. Thank you to all the aunties and uncles of Akira Canton. We appreciate you so much!!! Thank you for being so welcoming.

For the second time I go to this restaurant with my family because we really like the food at this place. The first time, due to some misunderstanding, our order arrived incomplete. And they made my wife's drink wrong. When we asked for a new drink, she laughed. The manager kindly apologized and we left there calmly. The second time, the same woman on duty While cleaning the floor, she prepared to serve our drinks without changing her gloves or washing her hands, I told her to please change the drinks and she had a very bad attitude, my wife wanted to talk to the manager and she did not allow her the right to express her opinion trying to justify her lack of hygiene in the workplace.

A very enjoyable local chain of ramen and other Japanese treats, served in the middle of the Canton shopping center. A great stop for lunch or dinner. The okonomiyaki is delicious, and Akira is the only place in the area I've found that has it consistently on the menu.

Delicious, fast, and friendly service. We were visiting Baltimore MD, while out and about saw Akira Ramen & Izakaya restaurant in a Target run. We were able to get a booth right away. The place is very cozy and inviting. We placed our and within a few minutes here they come. Staff is very efficient and the food was delicious! I definitely recommend!???

after paying with my card i didn't leave a tip on the card I lift cash on the table the server came over giving me and my family a hard time not seeing the cash tip on table very
I ordered through Uber eats, so some of the temperature/freshness issues I'm sure are related more to a long wait for delivery and can't be blamed on the restaurant itself. That being said, we ordered four sushi rolls and some takoyaki and the quality was awful. Rolls were falling apart and had been packed beneath the takoyaki so they were oddly warm. It looked like somebody's first try making sushi and the cucumber in the eel cucumber rolls was squishy and extremely wet. The Godzilla roll was completely flavorless deep fried mush. I'm sure the ramen is delicious but I swear you'd be better off buying sushi from a grocery store. I don't usually write reviews, good or bad, but fifty dollars for the worst sushi I've ever had warranted one :(
