They are led by a session that does not walk in the way of Jesus.
What a beautiful place to worship. They are LGBTQIA+ inclusive and anti-racist. There is a growing youth presence and the congregation is progressive and welcoming. So glad to have Govans.
Govans is the best! Warm, welcoming, full of seekers who come from many directions in their faith. Progressive in their theology, welcoming to all, doing good works and especially focused now on racial justice. Come check it out. Church may not be what you think it is!
Welcoming, inclusive church that loves the Govans community. Great children and family programs, too!
Govans is amazing and Baltimore is so lucky to have this church! How much work everyone does here to help those in need in Baltimore and abroad. And how open and loving Govans is to everyone!
They are very kind and generous. They are involved in the community a lot. The Pastor, Tom, is very cool!
Soft and Delectable cakes and treats. Definitely recommend
I am a member of SHEKINAH GLORY REIGNS and we are a small congation. We use one of the rooms at GOVANS PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH. I have felt nothing but the utmost welcome by everyone I have met. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being so kind.
We had five generations going to Govans church. We now are on the six generation. We all love govans church so many warm friendly faces and beautiful people. Pastor Tom is the best he always been here for our family. Pastor Randy and his church family have joined with us here at Govans. So now we all our one big happy family. Love our church family ❤️🙏🏻
I visited this church for over a month. I am a transgender woman and I have never felt anything but welcome there. I was nervous because I had to leave my previous church after my transition, but at Govans I felt like I came home as myself.

Govans embodies love in its many facets: welcome, inclusion, support, faith, resilience, and resistance against intolerance. For our kids when they were young, it provided a fun, diverse circle of friends with whom to explore issues of faith and growth. The music group and worship style provided entertainment and a chance to explore performance and celebration of spirituality. As adults, the discussions were stimulating, and the friendships have endured. Overall, it provided our family a space for us to learn, participate, and commune.
