“The Arthouse pizzeria and bar will close after more than a decade in Hampden
By Amanda Yeager

The Arthouse, a long-standing Hampden pizzeria and bar, will close later this month after its owners said they couldn’t come to terms on a new lease.
Randy Shayotovich and Priya Rayadurg said Tuesday that the restaurant, which just marked its 11th year in business, will close before its lease expires on Oct. 31. They have a farewell party planned for Oct. 26.
The Arthouse has been on a month-to-month lease as the restaurateurs tried to negotiate a new agreement with the owners of the building at 1115 W. 36th St., on Hampden’s busy dining and retail stretch called The Avenue.
“We were trying to figure out what to do with it long-term. We wanted to have some security, maybe an exit strategy, possibly sell the business,” Shayotovich said. “We couldn’t come to a deal with the landlord.””

I enjoy this pizza place. If downstairs feels a little crowded, head upstairs where there is a little lounge space

They played Fox News all night on the TV and did not change it despite another patron asking.
The margarita pizza was average at best, which would've been fine if it was 10 bucks, but it cost nearly $20. Not worth it. Plus mandatory 20% gratuity on all checks. Cider wasn't good either.

We had a private company party at Arthouse recently. Everything was lovely from the room, the food, and the staff. We had multiple people tell us how great the pizza was and the staff working that evening couldn’t have been more friendly or accommodating. The entire process was smooth and we really enjoyed our event. We will definitely be booking private parties there in the future!

Thanks again!

Dietary restrictions: We had multiple people at our party who were vegan. The vegan options were delicious and the staff were so accommodating.

look, it's not really my style of pizza. but it's really friggin' good. the dough is pleasingly salty, the ingredients are top notch. the atmosphere is great, the people running it are great.if you're looking for pizza and a beer with a friend or to take a date, here ya go. it's a little overpriced for what it is, but at the same time.... i dunno. it's basically worth it.

Vegetarian options: they had impossible sausage for the pizza and it worked really well. i didn't see it listed as a discrete topping on the menu tho there is a vegan pizza w it i think? did not try the vegan cheese.. not my thing.

We went for dinner for two. We ordered pizza and chicken wings. Pizzas were really tasty. The wings didn't have salt in it, very bland. I would not recommend it. But you can try any of their pizzas without a doubt. The cocktails are pretty strong and great too.

Nice explorative, range of pizzas. I was a fan. I got “The Goat” Pizza and that melded together very well. Cheeses, arugula, balsamic.
Solid crust, I enjoy the ting

Maybe a little pricey. Depends who you are. I could explore more to give a better, more whole review

The place is multilevel and serves more than 1 purpose so that is cool. Lots of art all over, range of seating type. Will need to explore upstairs next

Had an outstanding time watching a stand-up comedy show the other night. The show was upstairs in this really cool room that had darts and other games. The guy running the show is Moe Goldberg he is a local comedian, but he had all kinds of people on the show from all over. The show was free, which is cool because I was just gonna grab some food and go home, but this gave me a reason to stay out and have a few drinks.

The pizza I got, it was called the goat was delicious. Our server was slow, forgetful, took forever for water, anything we needed. Had to ask multiple times the bartender for help. We were a party of 5, automatically charged 20% for tip. The server shouldn’t got that much of a tip. I thought it was 6 or more.
