My husband and I were really looking forward to trying this place. We often pass by the area and had seen many good reviews. It was a very cold day, and when we walked in, every seat was taken by people sitting alone with their laptops. Off to the side, there were two tables stacked together, so we politely asked the woman at the reception if she could set them up for us so we could sit.

Unfortunately, she refused, even though there were no other seats available and it was freezing outside. We explained that we had come from far away and simply wanted a warm place to sit and enjoy a coffee, but she still chose not to help.

As the manager of a store, sensitivity to a customer’s situation is important. A little kindness and flexibility can make a big difference. Because of the way we were treated, we won’t be returning.

Please remember to treat people with care and respect. When we make an effort to step outside ourselves and see others, the world becomes a better place.

My wife and I were in the Towson area looking forward to high quality coffee. We parked and walked in the freezing cold to try out this place. When we entered we saw there wasn't any available tables or seating for 2 people together. We saw some unused small tables in the corner and we asked the barista if we could use a table since there were no seats available. The girl did not even try to help us or arrange a seating for us. She flat out told us we can't use those tables. We expressed to her how we were excited to try the coffee and how we walked in the cold to get here and she still was unsympathetic and did not even try to help us. She simply turned us away. It's really a shame but I hope this review will help elevate the place

Cute coffee shop in the heart of Towson. Nice spot for a meetup with a friend - they have some couches and tables with seating.

I loved how spacious it was, and parking was easy. Felt very comfortable, and the coffee was excellent. You can also get pizza there.

Unfortunately not a good service experience nor espresso/cappuccino. The cappuccino tasted bitter and gave my mother and I terrible stomach pains that evening... And when ordering a croissant and asking for it to be warmed, I was told that they turned off the ovens at 3:00 p.m. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the oven just a matter of turning it on and heating it up? I then asked about a microwave, and the response was no. That's a shame, because I really wanted to like this place.

I used to take my grandfather to lunch here when it was the Towson House and now I take my grandson for hot chocolate and pastries. Barista made sure the hot chocolate was not too hot.

Solid espresso drinks. Pastries look interesting. Overnight oats were GF but a little watery. Flavor was great tho!

Coffee Reviews

Really nice interior for a coffee shop. Plenty of seating and a lovely atmosphere. Coffee is roasted locally and is advertised as sustainable.

Tasting Notes: Oat milk Cortado
Initial notes of berries and milk chocolate with a slightly acidic aftertaste with hints of grapefruit. The espresso is a lighter roast which was a very pleasant surprise as I enjoy a lighter fruit forward espresso for my cortado. The one slight disappointment was the quality of the drink itself. Milk texture was a little too foamy causing separation in the drink rather than a cohesive texture. With that being said it was still a very enjoyable experience and I would definitely come back here and try more of their drinks.

My daily stop for a cup. Folks there are the best. Alas they have dark roast drip as a pour-over only. Plenty of drinks for the asking. It's a can't miss.
