Below average food and average service quality. The automatic gratuity is an extraordinarily deceptive business practice. First, I was not informed of the auto gratuity until after my credit card had been charged. Second, the business’ comments to reviews about the auto gratuity (“The gratuity is to insure excellent service,” “We are always happy to remove for you if you feel as if the service was sub par.”) are totally out of touch and unreasonable. As if a customer will cause a scene by requesting a manager in the middle of the restaurant when service is subpar? The “insurance” for excellent service should be paying employees a reasonable wage, not deceptively charging customers 20% without their approval. Will be filing formal complaint against this business.

Went to Barcocina during Baltimore Restaurant Week with a large group of coworkers. Despite the group size, we were seated quickly with our reservation, which was great.

The food was really good, the cauliflower tacos were a standout and something I would order again. Many people at our table got them and loved them. Portion sizes were reasonable, and the presentation was nice. We also appreciated having the option to order either from the regular menu or the Restaurant Week three-course menu.

Service was friendly and attentive throughout. The atmosphere was relaxed and vibey, and the views from the restaurant added to the experience.

Dessert was okay overall - the tiramisu wasn’t my favorite and felt more like a cake than traditional tiramisu. For large groups, a 20% gratuity is automatically added, which is good to know ahead of time.

Overall, a solid spot for group dinners with good food, great ambiance, and a nice setting.

Always an enjoy our visits, but speakers were blaring and took away from the ability to carry a conversation at the table. Otherwise, it was great.

We had brunch at 11:15, so the restaurant was not super-busy. Everything was great...pulled pork hash, breakfast burrito, breakfast quesadilla, green goddess salad. Cocktails were great. Very affordable. Server was helpful when it came to dividing the check among our party of ten. I loved it!

Went for lunch in off season (November). Pretty quiet around these parts. Waitress was stellar. Chips and queso really good!

The food was outstanding! We ordered the rock fish and steak tacos, the empanadas, jalapeno cornbread, and the chips and cheese. The chips were homemade and crispy the best we've ever had!

Tex-Mex with a Baltimore twist. Great dinner and drink menu with scenic views of the inner harbor in Fells point.

Barcocina was the perfect choice for our son Robert and his fiance Sarah's welcome dinner and drinks event, with a total of 70 some guests. Jackie and her team were outstanding to work with from the planning of the menu, to the set up on the day of the event. It was a beautiful evening from start to finish. The private patio room has a view of the water with generous space which allowed our family and friends plenty of room to mingle before the dinner. Jackie assisted in choosing a menu that accommodated all our guests dietary needs, and it was all delicious (our guests are still raving about the Bang Bang Cauliflower tacos, Big Hit!). A particular shout out to Justin and Stokes who kept the food stations fresh and well paced, and our bartenders Vinny and Sakura, who did a wonderful job of keeping up with the flow of the party. Our experience at Barcocina set the tone, and was a wonderful way to kick off the wedding weekend. A 5 star experience all around. Thank you all!

We came here to get some apps but they only offer a brunch menu until 3pm!!???
How about a lunch menu. Who eats brunch until 3pm?

Also, they served a guacamole that looks like a paste of green goo that has to have come out of a bag, definitely not fresh for such a great view you should offer better food.
The chips were also burnt to a crisp….

I canceled my order and left.

One thing is that the service wasn’t bad, my server was nice and helpful. She was awesome, but the food sucked.

I paid $30 for two margaritas that didn’t come with salt on the rim. The bartender needs some help making drinks.
