Do NOT spend your money at a place that treats Black customers unfairly.

The food here is usually okay, but the service is consistently awful. During my recent visit, the woman behind the counter came out to confront me after I asked a simple question. I ordered my food and asked for the price. She pointed to a small monitor and said, “It’s right there!” I have a vision impairment that makes it difficult for me to read certain displays, but I typically keep that private. I didn’t see the price on the monitor, so I politely asked her to tell me.

Instead of answering, she snapped, “Oh, you cannot see!?” She still never told me the price. At that point, I told her to cancel the order. She then came from behind the counter and said, “You people always doing this!”

That comment made it clear to me that she holds prejudice against Black Americans. I will never eat here again. My decision may not impact their business, but it will certainly protect my peace.

Beulah Africa Restaurant serves up some of the most soul-satisfying Nigerian dishes I've ever tasted. The egusi soup, okro soup with goat meat, and fish—is rich, flavorful, and deeply comforting. You can tell every dish is made with love and tradition.

If i could give this business less stars I would. The woman at the counter has a vile attitude and the food she gave me was inedible. I ordered egusi with chicken and the chicken was rock hard. It could barely be pulled apart. You can tell when someone takes pride in the food they serve and their culture. This clearly is not the case here. I had to throw half of my food out it was so bad. 0/10. I do not recommend. Save yourself the $25-$30. There’s a sign that says no refunds so choose wisely.

Talk about the juice not being worth the squeeze. The lady behind the counter has the Worst Attitude to be in HOSPITALITY. She acts like she doing YOU the favor…..NOPE NOT FOR MEDIOCRE FOOD WITH A SIDE OF ATTITUDE

Still the best meal (Fried rice) and customer service experience I’ve had since I came to MD. The owner has been very generous towards us since we met her the first time we walked in for an order at xmas. She accomodated us with last minute order of a food tray at xmas (I think she may have just cooked it once we decided we could wait) and gave us extra meat servings. It left a great impression on me. I hope they keep up the good work!
That Fried rice is a win!

I want to start by saying that I had a great experience picking up my food.

Initially, I wanted to visit a local spot for some okra soup, but when I found out that my original choice didn't have it available, I discovered Beulah International. I ordered the okra soup with turkey, and it tasted incredibly fresh and delicious. I was pleasantly surprised because it was my first time having the stew and okra served separately, but I think this combination creates a wonderful flavor when mixed together. I might even start preparing my okra soup this way at home.

Thank you again for such a wonderful meal. I will definitely be coming back for more!

Not good. Lady was nice but I wouldn’t recommend. I had the cassava leaf with white rice and chicken. Very greasy and taste like it had a grilled flavor.

Tried to call about their vegan egusi soup the lady who answered the phone was extremely rude and raised her voice because I am asking questions. I was simply trying to get clarification on the dish because if it not made with meat I wanted to know if they substituted anything maybe a vegan meat brand or chickpeas, lentils etc. I won’t be spending my money anywhere that cant respect their consumers.

Great place with beautiful offerings and top draw service. Got there just before Yuletide and the owner accommodated my family with an order of half tray of tasty fried rice. Such complimentary service is not ubiquitous with our people in the diaspora or at home. We will definitely be returning.
