Blake's has a fantastic live IVR system in that they record someone explaining what they have left. That removes a lot of the guesswork in if you're going to be able to order what you want. We did a dz and a half large males and 4 ears of corn. The crab were decently heavy and seasoned well. If anything, I think our batch was steamed a little too long because the legs were kind of dry on the crab. I like their packaging because it's easier to transport a nearly packed box to your car and we had no leakage. The seasoning I heavy and the staff is nice. Their crab are priced well and they honestly did taste very clean.

I’m from DC but lives now in Baltimore and I’ve bn going to them the last 2yrs because they’re crabs are season well and don’t taste like that just boiled them in water, heavy and meaty I love them

My first time going to blakes, i had a great experience, i probably wont get crabs from anywhere else. I called in, my crabs were ready for me when i got there, in and out in two minutes!!! The crabs were so good, i was surprised at the size, i got medium but they were on the larger side, full and juicy ...🤤🤤

When I called on April 18th to place an order there was a recorded message listing what they had and what they didn't have, male and female sizes, specials and the prices. My order did not take long. Took about 25 minutes. Lots of available parking. Friendly staff. Great prices. Great crabs. I ordered a dozen large male crabs. Order about to $115. They had paper and mallets, which where like $1-$4. Definitely going back. The money spent was well worth it. The crabs were very meaty.

I brought a whole bushel of small medium crabs today and the entire box was filled with water filled, dead black shelling inside and hardly no meat. The crabs was so light and damaged that I felt terrible that I could not speak to the manager as the calls went over to no calls after 7:30 after it took me 40 minutes to get there and 40 minutes to get back home to experience this. Now of course we can eat them because I was given a dead bunch of crabs for $120. Wow. They really fell off the map and I am quite sure they will not respond or reach out to me to resolve the problem. My lost. I will not recommend or patronage this business again to give someone a bushel of dead cooked crabs.

just brought crabs at Blake’s today and they were scorched and tast burnt. the shrimp were over cooked. spent 111 dollars. i called the store and the girl at the store said thank you. warning everyone to go to salty dogs. never will o go here again.
