Gem. Vibey. Good place to feel like you're a coke kingpin in the 80s. Drinks also unique and tasty.

Bloom’s is a pretty face with no substance. We arrived for our reservation and were sat after waiting for a few minutes to be acknowledged. Once we were taken to our seats, we were never approached by a waitress to take our drink order. The lounge wasn’t busy, so I have no idea why our table was continuously passed over. We waited for half an hour before deciding to bail and go to The Coral Wig, the other hotel bar (which was excellent). It was an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience, considering I’ve been excited to try Bloom’s since it came on my radar several years ago. This is a glorified selfie spot masquerading as a functioning bar.

This is by FAR!!! The best lounges I have ever been to. This bar was made for me ❤️ My type of scenery. We were in town for the Ravens and Steelers game and had to stop and check out. Highly Recommend 1000/1000 🌟

Quite forgettable, it’s not a speakeasy. Drinks were unique and complex, but that’s only if they bring you the drink you actually ordered. The server brought us the wrong drink, never came back after dropping it, and when we let the server know at the time of closing our check, nothing was done. We had to approach the server since they never came back. Atmosphere is very loud, and seating was uncomfortable. Not what you’d expect for 18 dollars a drink (we ordered a 16 dollar drink but we’re still charged for the more expensive drink). 20% gratuity is automatically added to each check so that could be the reason we were still overcharged. Cannot recommend.

So I went to blooms on a slow Saturday night. Inside is super nice, & I do love the vintage 70s aesthetic of it all. Idk if they take reservations, but I just walked in &. A hostess sat me down. The velvet couches are a nice touch, though they aren't the most comfortable IMO. It's small, can probably hold about 50 ppl total. But for it to be a slow night, the service was even slower, surprisingly. Getting my waiter's attention felt like the hunger games :( she served me and would disappear for 30 minutes. It took nearly another 30 minutes just to get the check after I asked. I'd go back, but I wouldn't get a table. I'd just stand at the bar, where the service seems quicker. My drinks were very good! On the pricey side but that's to be expected with cocktail bars these days.

Blooms is a stunning cocktail lounge tucked inside the Hotel Ulysses — a true gem with a regal, vintage ambiance that transports you straight back to the Roaring Twenties. The plush velvet booths and ceilings, paired with charming vintage lamps at each table, create an atmosphere that’s both elegant and nostalgic.
The staff were kind and attentive, even amid a busy Saturday crowd. We arrived around 5:30 p.m., and by 6:30 the lounge was nearly full. It took about 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive, which is understandable given how popular the space is, but something to keep in mind if you’re visiting during peak hours.
We tried The Matchmaker, Summertime, and Sateen Daydream — all beautifully crafted and strong cocktails, leaning more on the bitter side rather than sweet. While the drinks weren’t exactly my go-to flavor profile, the craftsmanship and presentation were impressive.
Blooms truly shines as a venue for live music and performances, which they host on weekends (check their website for event details). I’d definitely return to experience a show in such a stylish setting. It’s not my top pick for a casual cocktail, but for atmosphere and entertainment, Blooms is hard to beat.

Very nice cocktails, but the check is very deceptive. They automatically add 20% then leave a space to add an additional tip. The added 20% is very easy to miss. For me it really ruined my evening, and the barman's attitude about this exacerbated it even more. Do better!

It's a cocktail bar so there are very limited tiny food options. Dark moody vibe.

I came here after dinner in Fells, and it was such a cool, swanky vibe—definitely not what I expected from a hotel bar in Baltimore!
Drinks were good and reasonably priced, but it did take a while to get our order in. We didn’t have to wait for a table (even on a busy weekend), which was a win for our group of four.
Great spot for a date night or hanging out with friends. Giving it a 3.5 but rounding up because the vibes were good.

The decor here is beautiful and really unique, and that’s the only positive thing I can say. My boyfriend and I came in on a busy day but were still able to get a table, so we assumed we’d at least get some level of service. We were wrong.
We sat there for nearly an hour without anyone acknowledging us; no menus, no water, nothing, while other tables around us came, ordered, drank, and left. It was baffling and honestly felt like we were invisible. We ended up leaving without ordering, and we won’t be coming back.
