Blue Hill Tavern closes in Brewers Hill By Amanda Yeager May 11 at 10:57 PM ET Blue Hill Tavern has closed after 15 years in business. Owners Mel Carter and Brett Lockard shared the news online Saturday night. “A 15 year run in this business is a lifetime and we can only thank our staff, our guests and our families for making that happen,” they wrote in a post shared to Facebook and on Blue Hill’s website. The Brewers Hill bar and restaurant was a neighborhood staple for New American fare like fried pickles with chipotle banana peppers, Wagyu burgers and bleu cheese martinis. Blue Hill opened at the corner of Conkling and Dillon streets in 2009, just as the Brewers Hill neighborhood was taking off. A 2016 review in The Sun lauded the restaurant’s food for being “straightforward and remarkably good,” but “not boring.” The three-story, 15,000-square-foot restaurant had been up for sale since at least 2022. A 2023 post on the online marketplace Loopnet listed an asking price of $2 million. The listing has since been removed. © 2024 Baltimore Sun

The food and the service was excellent. My wife said it was the best cooked steak she has had in the last 10 years. I ordered the 48 hour sous vide pork shank in a mushroom sauce that was also superb. The appetizers were all great. I will eat there the next time I'm visiting Baltimore again.

My colleague and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch at BHT. The potato soup, petite filet and Parmesan crusted potatoes were perfectly prepared and delicious. The service was stellar and the prices were reasonable. I highly recommend Blue Hill Tavern.
Everything was great outside pf the noise level. We opt'd to sit in the bar area, which was empty when we initially sat there. 20mins later, we couldn't hear ourselves talk. It was very overwhelmingly loud.
Went here for Valentines Day dinner. The food quality and service was diminished from my prior experiences (4.3*). I ordered the crab cake which was good. It came with a mushy corn and caper side. I ordered the apple tart for dessert and the crust was raw. After 10 minutes with no service, she came by and cleared the uneaten dessert without asking if there was anything wrong. The kitchen and service staff performed sub par on an important date night for most.

Had a 6:30 reservation, got seated right away to an area up the chairs towards the back which was nice and quant made us feel like VIP. Our waiter was Louis he was very professional and helped us in picking our food tens as it was our first time visiting the restaurant but certainly won't be our last. Started out with sangria which was very tasty my partner had a watermelon basil mule both were good and sneak up on you. We got the Cajun shrimp for an appetizer the sauce was so good, I had the petit filet Oscar medium well really good with Mac and cheese my partner tried the pork shank which he loved, we tried the chocolate peanut butter candy bar with desert and a glass of Riesling. Everything was so good and a nice surprise, can't wait to go back. 10/10 Food and Service!
Overall, we had a nice dinner with friends at Blue Hill Tavern. The sausage pizza had one piece of sausage and too much cheese, but the calamari starter was excellent as was the burger.

One of my favorite places. Food was delicious as always. I had the seared salmon and the flavors worked so well together. The chopped salad is my favorite restaurant salad! So fresh and packed with flavor. Server was attentive without being obtrusive. I was contacted by the restaurant to let me know that there would be an event going on upstairs with a DJ so the noice level would be up. They offered to push back my reservation if needed. I was very appreciative of the heads up but ended up keeping the original reservation time and it all turned out fine. Great place, try it out!
Excellent dinner. We enjoyed the two courses for $35 menu: Firecracker Shrimp Tempura, Crab Corn Chowder, Mahi Mahi, and Seafood Bucatini.

This place has consistently good quality food and great service. Nice variety on the menu and amazing prices for what you get. Can't understand how it's not packed on the weekends!
Dianne is the perfect bartender who always has the perfect drinks and attitude to welcome new coming and returners. I appreciate her recommendations and services. Happy to be a 2nd time customer.

Blue Hill Tavern is a cute, trendy, upscale dining experience - that is still reasonably priced. The complimentary valet service is always a plus. I prefer to make reservations everywhere nowadays, but walk-in customers are also welcome. Servers are great. The kitchen closes for orders around 8:30pm, so I wouldn’t make this a late stop. There is also a full bar. This visit I enjoyed a Watermelon Basil Mule, which was delicious if you’re into mint/herb infused beverages. For dinner, I enjoyed the Grilled Octopus and Ny Strip, which was cooked to my Medium Well liking with perfection. I very rarely eat any sweets or desserts, but I actually loved the Mousse because it wasn’t too sweet. Thumbs up.
