This made our Baltimore trip! We would come back just to go to this restaurant! We ended up sitting at the bar,(something I normally don’t like to do) and it was a fortunate happenstance. We ended up sitting with some regular customers and had a blast, everyone was so friendly and it was like being among family. Nino the owner brought our meals out and they were superb! From the appetizers to desert everything was impeccable! The bartender Boulot was SO fun and attentive (we never had an empty glass). The cannoli (hand made by Nino’s mom) was Terrific. When we get back to Baltimore this will be one of the first places we stop.

I was looking for an authentic Italian restaurant for my children to experience hand made pasta. I called ahead and made reservations for six. Unfortunately our hotel room wasn’t ready so we were late for our reservations. I called and they said ‘come on in’. We hurried over! The kids are between 7-14. They all had Shirley temples to drink. We started off with the Burrata Appetizer which just melted in your mouth. For dinner three kids had half portions of Fettuccine Alfredo, one had chicken parmigiana, one had shrimp scampi and I had the chefs special, which was lobster/crab in a blush sauce over penne. The best review is there were no leftovers!! Everyone loved their meals and my son ate his and half of mine! We did have a wee bit of room for dessert so I ordered two orders of the cream puffs. Each order has three and one each was the perfect ending to a delicious dinner. Special thanks to Chef Nino, who stopped by twice to chat with everyone.

My husband and I had a marvelous dinner! The Chef and staff were quite friendly and made the dining experience just wonderful. The atmosphere reminded me of our trip to Italy! Make sure to have the pineapple sorbet! We will definitely return to LaScala for our wedding anniversary dinner!

We wanted to try it but were not very hungry. I had the Italian chicken soup which was delicious and my wife had the gnocchi which were homemade and delicious (my wife is a gnocchi aficionado and LOVED it

This was my first visit to La Scala. I was a little concerned after reading some of the negative reviews on TA but I’m happy to say they were unfounded. The service was exceptional. Everyone was friendly. The food was amazing. We were a party of 4. We each ordered a different entree. Everyone Loved what they got. It was fresh, flavorful and plentiful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Thank you to the restaurant staff for making my birthday dinner a wonderful experience.

Chef should learn better Italian hospitality when inviting people to "his house". Food was basically the Mcdonald's version of Italian food. Baltimore's Little Italy can do much better.

As soon as we walked in, Nino Germano welcomed us like family. Throughout the night, he checked on us to how we were doing. He's very personable and the food was spectacular and truly authentic. From our apps to main course to dessert was fantastic. I highly recommend this place and encourage you to experience a dining delight. Not often you have the owner/proprietor and head chef come out on the floor.

Very reasonably priced for the quality, there are a lot of Italian places in this area, the atmosphere was good.

got sick after dinner! frutti di mare old and smelly... Just be careful. Lots of great places nearby. stay away from this one. And very pricey...

Used to be a consistent favorite for many years but the last dinner was quite a disappointment. Seafood didn’t seem particularly fresh, salad “bathed” in oil and vinegar dressing. Quality seemed to have slipped as a result of ownership change and cost cutting. Will be quite awhile before returning.

Made reservations a few weeks in advanced. When we arrived we were seated immediately even though we were a few minutes early Nelson was our waiter and was amazing. Very friendly and knowledgeable. All the items we ordered were very flavorful and food come out hot.

Went here on a Saturday night with another couple and our adult child. While I should have realized that there was a good possibility of sitting upstairs I hadn't been to Little Italy in years forgot. So, if you're not good with stairs please keep that in mind. We were seated at a lovely round table and approached within minutes by a waitperson which was refreshing. Plates of green beans and potatoes were placed on the table, not sure what they were supposed to taste like however they were super bland and mediocre. I can't imagine how much they throw away that never gets eaten. Appetizers: we got the Calamari, Antipasta, Bruscetta, house salad, grilled ceaser (a special) and garlic bread without cheese. Plus house bread was served along with individual plates of olive oil (nice touch). Apps were delicious. Can not complain at all except house salad was originally over dressed and we got it replaced with dressing on the side. Mains: Pasta Putenesca, Veal Saltimboca, Veal Baltimore, Pepper Filet, and not sure the name but basically fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and crab. Everything was delicious. I'm a veal Saltimboca snob and this was one of the best I've had. Wine was good. Old Fashioned was mediocre. Dessert: This was by far the most disappointing part of the evening. Gelato was not creamy and tasted more like ice milk. Profiteroles were drenched in mediocre chocolate and the custard was flavorless. Both the original and espresso canoli were mediocre. Only halfway reorderable dessert was the tiramisu. Service: Besides for a small who's our waitperson snafu service was good. Our waitress clearly was newer to fine dining but was pleasant, knowledgeable, and efficient. Both the manager and chef checked in on us to make sure everything was to our liking. Could not complain. All in all... with Vaccaros up the street I'd absolutely come for dinner again but go to Vaccaros for dessert.

From an inattentive waiter to an angry owner, combined with the dangers of eating in this part of the city, we won't be back. La Scala has completely changed for the worse since I used to go there. Gone is the waiter who was such a gentleman. The wait times for food are intolerable. I built it up so much for my new husband and nothing went well.

1. The food is tasteless 2. The appetizers are a joke. Some of them have the size for kids but charge $$$$ 3. Ceasar salad... I would rather not say 4. The cheapest wine is ~$60 5. The service was good. I have been 2 times today: the first and the last.
