This place is closed, the owners have opened up a Coffee Shop.
Tried the super rice bowl and the soju. The rice bowl was okay, but the server was not very helpful. It's a good option if you want a quick meal. Was on the more expensive side!

Last week I went to Baltimore for the first time for a music camp. Brown Rice was recommended by other students at the camp who have loved for the past 3-4 years (they are from SC and very sophisticated palettes). We absolutely LOVED Brown Rice. First, there is so so much care put into all the fresh ingredients. I was elated to find they had 2 KINDS of Kimchee (so hard to find) with regular cabbage and another kind with radish. We went 2 nights in a row it was so good. The first night I got the traditional Bimibop with Tofu in a hot bowl. So yummy and there was just enough crispiness on bottom to make it very satisfying. The next night I got a chicken dish. The owners were very attentive and even tried to help me find a lost sweater the next day. This will be our NUMBER ONE Baltimore spot for beautiful food. Even thought it was was in a food court, it was very convenient and if your guests want something other than Korean there are many choices. Also, they take care to ask if you want spicy or non spicy so can easily adapt dishes to your tastes. Brown Rice rivals some of the great Korean spots we go to in NYC.
Vegetarian options: VERY IMPORTANT -- Our friends are vegetarian strict for many years and this is their GO TO SPOT in Baltimore. Considering you get like 5-7 choices of all kinds of veggies including edamame, kale, spinach (super fresh and healthy)...all very satisfying.
Kid-friendliness: We went with two tweens. It is super kid friendly -- no need to worry about noise or formality as it is a food court with lots of room to spread out.
Dietary restrictions: They are very respectful of food needs. I always avoid gluten (easy to do in this Korean spot).

Seems like they are always closed.. I tried to go here two different days during lunch time and they are closed. Need to update the hours
Not sure what's happening, but the last few times I've tried to go and order something, they were closed. It was always around 12:30-1. Not sure if everyone went to lunch or what, but it's incredibly disappointing to have no answer for it being closed. Everywhere online says it's open during is regular hours, but it hasn't been. Very confusing considering this is my fave restaurant. Would definitely like some answers om this one!
Absolutely delicious!!! The person who helped us was also a sweetheart.
This was my first time post COVID, mostly because they now close at 6. Wished I had ordered ahead. This is no longer fast food: it is made to order. Some of the previously available toppings are no longer available, others (broccoli, eggplant) are available at additional cost. Jasmine rice is no longer available as a base but the potato noodles were great. The food is still excellent.
Great food. Great vegetarian options. The woman behind the counter was running the kitchen on her own during a lunch rush, clearly overworked. Running skeleton crews is not okay. You may say "someone called out", well you should have enough people that a single person calling out doesn't diminish your ability to operate.
The food here is fantastic, but... is this one still in operation? I walked into the building and the setup was completely gutted. Person at the kiosk way in the back mentioned a smoothie place of some sort being closed that day... was there a major change in the past few weeks? Schedule, Website and photos haven't been updated at all...
Brown Rice is temporarily closed at this location, but they have a walk up coffee/smoothie place there in place and it's really good, and the lady is super sweet!

The place has changed since covid but the food was great! It was a long wait since one lady was working the whole place by herself but it was well worth it. She was super sweet <3
They're finally open again! Amazing service and a fantastic place to grab a quick, healthy and delicious lunch/dinner. They also added new toppings which were all nothing but out of this world deliciousness! Will definitely be back for more as they have rotating menus as well.
Whoa what a gem. All the ingredients were super fresh and yummy. I liked adding some japchae (sweet potato starch noodles with veggies) to the base which added a lot of nice flavor and texture to the bowl. Owner is nice. I'll be back for more.

Wonderful food, one of my favorites in Baltimore. Fresh, affordable, and tasty. Thanks for the great experiences, I'll miss it when I move!
