Small place. Outside is made to keep the clientele dry and warm, while waiting in line to order. Staff is courteous. Pastries are excellent.

The freshly baked sandwiches, breads and coffee were incredibly good. Please go right after each release timing because things are sold out quickly.

What a find. Lots of good bakeries but this place is elite. There’s always a line out the door as there are specific times in the day the breads will be baked. Check their website for details. Otherwise you very well could end up getting there when no inventory is left. This place is awesome.

This is the best overall (non coffee-only focused) cafe in Baltimore as of early 2024 and I've now been to every active place in the city. They serve a rotating variety of freshly made pastries which are about unilaterally some of the best I've had. The bake schedule with staggered times leads to the items being really quite fresh and this makes a substantial difference in the quality of the item compared to other cafe's!Coffee-wise the cafe is very standard, but in a 'good' way because they serve ceremony coffee which is consistently great and I've found the baristas to do a good job with the drip-coffee/espresso drinks comparatively. This is surprising given the line here is usually out the door so they deserve credit for keeping the drink quality consistent. It's also worth mentioning that I've found the people who staff the front area making drinks and taking orders to be unusually friendly and professional and it puts me in a good mood after leaving5/5

The savory pastries are my favorite. I adored the short rib! Everything was very well filled and the pastry itself was out of this world. This is now my go-to anytime I want a pastry.

Cafe Dear Leon is one of those special places. Try it out earlier in the day or Wednesday/Thursday to avoid the lines.

This place is a not so secret hidden gem on the canton square. Be prepared to wait in line but the wait is well worth it. I haven’t had a pastry there that I haven’t really enjoyed but currently my favorite is the tiramisu croissant that they come out with at 9am and I heard it sells out fast. If you haven’t had the chance to visit cafe dear Leon I would highly recommend trying it at least once.

I got there about 9am on Sunday, there was already a line at least ten deep. However, the atmosphere was great inside and out in line. The pastry was delicious we got an assortment. The chai tea was just not pungent enough . Otherwise it was my first and hope not my lastVegetarian options: They only served at certain times get there early .

Genuinely the best bakery I have ever been to. My favorite so far was the Ispahan Danish. The pasties are truly so beautifully created and you can tell there was so much technique used. Price is worth it!
