An adorable and quaint little spot right at the entrance of Little Italy. Great food, amazing desserts and very kind service.
The lasagna was incredible. Special appetizers that night included bruschetta with fig jam and smoked salmon with mozzarella and it was amazing. Service was perfect. Quiet and intimate setting.
Everything was fantastic. The service was top tier (especially for Valentines Day), and the food was delicious. We got the bruschetta and meatballs for an appetizer, followed by the chicken piccata and gnocchi for our main dishes. The best part was the dessert, which was a homemade tiramisu (and it was the best tiramisu I've ever had). The atmosphere was cozy and you can tell that the owner and staff really care about creating a fantastic Italian meal. I will definitely be back.
Absolutely wonderful restaurant. Cozy, great decor that felt more like a french bistro with lots of art on the walls and even on the tabletops. Food was very reasonable, delicious and good selection. Our waiter was perfect- attentive and informed. Haven't enjoyed a restaurant experience so much in a long time!!!!
The place is very nice inside and the location is perfect. Service was attentive and casual. The food was the only thing that was off. Chicken Marsala was bland and the chicken was not tender. The chocolate crème brûlée was very good
Perfection from start to finish. Best meal we have had in a long time. Eggplant, gnocchi and lasagna were out of this world. Will def return.
My family of 3 had an excellent dinner - the food, service, drinks, and dessert were absolutely amazing! We will be back when we stay in downtown again!
We were visiting our Daughter in Baltimore and wanted to eat in Little Italy. We decided to give Cafe Gia a try. We would give it 10 stars if we could. Food was fantastic, service was friendly.
Fantastic service and food! The price was very reasonable and the atmosphere felt very authentically Italian.
Typical Little Italy row house type restaurant with cramped space, but good food, drinks and service. Only downside is finding parking since there are no garages, just street parking.
Restaurantji Recommends
I love Cafe Gia - food is ALWAYS outstanding and service is great! Owners are very hospitable and friendly.
We've already been 3 times in three weeks to Cafe Gia and have been absolutely wowed each time.........feels like we're having dinner with family, everything and everyone AMAZING!!! Highly recommend Cafe Gia for delicious home cooked Italian, the owner is the icing on the cake, PRECIOUS ♥️
Our party of three recently visited this restaurant in Little Italy. It's on one of the corners (High Street) in the center of Baltimore's Little Italy. We were warmly greeted with a reservation and quickly seated in a separate section adjacent to the entrance. Ordered the Bruschetta, Grilled Caesar, house red wine (Chianti), lemon soda, Ossobuco, Branzino, Lasagna, Limoncello, and Cannoli. The restaurant provided bread and butter before the meal. The Bruschetta and Caesar were outstanding, generous portions and full of flavor. The veal Ossobuco was expertly seasoned and tender, the sauce bright and fragrant all served on a saffron risotto. A sizeable portion that boxed well as lunch the next day also. The Branzino was a deliciously soft and plentiful whole filet, seasoned with butter and pepper served with a pesto risotto. Not a pairing I've had before but both surprised and impressed. The Lasagna was very good as well and our child loved it. Distinguished itself among others with a delicious ground protein (veal meatball?) and excellently textured cheese. Nothing left to box from this one. Drinks were fantastic. If you try the Limoncello, it cut well with the lemon soda (Pellegrino). Cannoli were great, lots of filling! Highly recommend, one of our best experiences in Little Italy.
Amazing experience at this beautiful spot. Wonderful service, delicious food, and a beautiful atmosphere.
This place is the real deal. Food was as good as any Italian food I've ever had and the atmosphere very relaxed. Want a memorable night out? Cafe Gia is the place to go!
