This place is located in a former bank. You order at the counter, they bring the food to your table when it’s ready, then when you’re done you take your receipt to a different counter to pay. I had their pea soup which was ver good.
Great breakfast spot that is walkable from many downtown hotels including the Lord Baltimore Hotel. I enjoyed the breakfast bowl, the sage pork breakfast sausage and fine coffees. My wife loved her pancakes. The home made biscuits with sausage gravy were a huge hit.
Just started working in the building and have to say the food is good and the prices are great..portions are in point
I cannot recommend this place enough! We went for a late breakfast. First, good food for a very reasonable price. I was looking for a breakfast that would not break the bank but was better than Dunkin’. This place fitted the need to the T. Beyond the food, the building is an old bank and absolutely gorgeous! The only down side is the bathroom is in the basement and quite old and a bit dingy.
I was a dedicated, hard working employee for 10 months at David and Dad's cafe. (In the service industry for 11 years) Things started out solid and strong. They acknowledged my hard work and almost "praised" me all of 5 months, until they got a handful of new employee, which continued the "acknowledgement" and "praise" cycle. I started picking up on it, and also picked up on where the unprofessionalism and "gossip" was coming from, which was management. I decided it was time for me to seek a less toxic environment, so I decided to give them my 2 week notice. In the process of that, I was told even though I did everything right according to the books, they were not willing to schedule me the last week that I was supposed to work there. With that being said, they "fired" me due to not wanting to take accountability. I cannot respect their decision because they didn't respect my time the same way I did theirs, considering I could have not even given a 2 weeks notice. If you want to be respected for the work you provide and/or for what you are willing to do for a company, I advise you do not go to David and Dads for that, considering you will only find it if you kiss their butts and devote your entire existence to them. Thank you David and Dads for showing me 2 week notices means nothing when a company only cares about their money. And they probably only care about you as a guest because they realize without you coming there, they wouldn't be successful.
Cute place located in an old bank building.. you order from what looks like the old teller stations. The service was friendly, the food was ok. I am picky about my bacon.. and asked for it to be crispy. What I got was microwave bacon, couldnt ever be crispy! Despite that, the prices for food here are very reasonable. I would come back anytime. Great way to start a morning in Baltimore!.. Just maybe order lox n bagels next time.
I visited the restaurant for breakfast on Wednesday from a recommendation of hotel where I am staying. . It wasn’t bad, but service was very slow. I asked for milk with my oatmeal to go order. No milk nor utensils in bag once II returned to hotel. Decided to give them another try this am(Thursday) . I placed to go order. This time a breakfast wrap. I waited for 15min. After persons who ordered after me received their order, I inquired and told them I was leaving. The manager came over and promptly reminded me that he had “100s” of orders and 15min was not bad. He proceeded to follow up in the kitchen. He came back to tell me that my order was lost! Ridiculous… a major process issue! He offered to make it, but I was too frustrated at his initial response. Horrible service…. Hotel needs to STOP recommending!
We really enjoyed breakfast at David and Dads. So much so, that we returned the next day. The atmosphere was also nice. Would recommend the everything bagel with cream cheese and the breakfast sandwich on a homemade biscuit.
Fantastic vegetarian breakfast in an interesting building with great service. Really enjoyed the Bermudan Breakfast Wrap
My wife and I stopped for breakfast on a stopover in Baltimore. Friendly, welcoming staff and wide variety of breakfast favorites. Delicious food made for a thoroughly enjoyable start of the day.

Very good location, very delicious omelette and sandwiches with fresh coffee, very good service. Enjoyable ambiance
This breakfast mecca is located in a former bank space, and they've retained the character of the building. They specialize in breakfasts so if you like eggs, bacon, bagels, and pancakes you will be in heaven here. Although you order at the counter the servers bring the food to the table, they're very friendly and attentive.
The name drew us there and while taking pictures infant of the sign, a smily staff said you must be David ... well... I am the Dad unless my son looked really old. But that was a very friendly gesture. Food was excellent. Setting is super roomy in a historical building's lobby.
I went there for breakfast. Food was amazing. Everything was well organised. Great coffee cafe.
This restaurant has an extensive menu. The food is good, prices are modest, and service is pretty quick.
