My veal Marsala was a bit too salty. Overall an excellent dinner at a very reasonable price

We LOVE Gia's!!! We found Gia's 7 or 8 years ago while walking around Little Italy. The food is amazing and the service has always been excellent. The mussels are listed as an appetizer, but the portion size is so large you can practically make a meal of the mussels and bread. The pasta dishes and sauces are always spot on. We've tried just about all of them and love the casoncelli and gamberi con panna! The salmon alla griglia, chicken cotoletta, and Italian port roast are fantastic and the portion sizes are large. The desserts are amazing! We love the cannolis, chocolate creme brulee, and gelato. We're eating our way through the menu and haven't had anything that we didn't love! The wait staff have always been friendly and attentive. Cafe Gia is a must-do if you're in Little Italy.

Exquisite drinks and food! Red Sangria, White Sangria were delicious. The ricotta gnocchi with shrimp and it was perfect, not over cooked and the sauce was light , perfectly balanced . Veal Piccata was delightful. The atmosphere is festive with the vibrant, scenic painted decore. Service was attentive with wonderful suggestions

My family & I were in town celebrating Father's Day & my sister's Birthday. After catching a game at Camden Yards, we did not want to dine at one of the touristy "chain" restaurants at Inner Harbor, so I explored potential options in the Little Italy neighborhood. I am so glad that we found Cafe Gia Ristorante that evening! The restaurant itself was cute & quaint, but we were seated in a quiet, private section of the restaurant which was nice. Our server Elyse (spelling?) was attentive, personable, & provided great recommendations despite how busy she was. I ordered the Luca's Gnocchi + Shrimp, which was flavorful & delicious! My sister ordered Spaghetti with homemade meatballs, but the sauce alone could be award-winning. We also tried the pistachio & cappuccino gelato (made in-house), which brought us back to our vacation in Italy. If you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine with family "secret" recipes, you will not be disappointed! I must say, the real treat was meeting the owner Gia. She is hilarious! Her personality & funny stories made our night. Running a restaurant is not easy, but it's obvious she loves it & does not "cut corners" with her family recipes. Next time we are in town, we will be stopping by again. CIAO!

My favorite place in the Little Italy section of Baltimore. Food is great and the atmosphere is quaint cozy and romantic. I love the Nona that meets us at the door!

Got out of the habit of going here when Covid hit. Boy did we miss it. Will be going back often again.

The food was amazing. We loved the ambience. Our server was on top of things and never missed a beat. We were only in Baltimore for a short time and this was the highlight of our visit.

The food was amazing!! We shared 5 appetizers. We loved the rice balls and the grilled octopus the best but honestly everything was amazing. We had the Limoncello and the Espresso martinis and both were exceptional. We had the breaded chicken parm enter and my son had a pasta dish with sausage. Make sure you are hungry when you visit. We were too full for dessert but plan to go back and order one less appetizer so we will have room. Nona treated us and really made our experience special.

Always a great experience and a great meal. Our server was very helpful in recommending wine.

Opentable Diner

Absolutely wonderful. The owner of the restaurant sat with us for over 30 minutes and talked about the restaurants history and got to know it really well. I would return to Baltimore just to spend another couple minutes sitting at a table with Giavanna. She was fascinating - and incredibly warm and personable.

It was a great dining experience. Staff and service were perfect--it's a very welcoming place. All three appetizers and entrees were excellent. So were the deserts and cellos. My only complaint is that the dishes came in very short sequence, i.e., we had barely finished the appetizers before they served the entrees. Same for the deserts. I wished we had a little more time for this nice dinner.

Charming place. Love the ambience, and artwork on the walls and tables. Great food at reasonable prices. Pasta with shrimp was to die for.

We had a great time at Cafe Gia Restaurant and otherwise enjoyed our time in Little Italy! The restaurant was in a great location and the atmosphere was quaint, cozy and inviting. The dining room is small and there aren't big tables, so the noise level was low and comfortable. Our server was great, attentive, patient and helpful. The food was great - served timely. It all met expectations. We would certainly go back there in a heartbeat.

I would not go to this restaurant. We made a "birthday" reservation and were seated by the door. We got water and white bread with cold butter in plastic cups. Than sat for ten minutes until the owner asked for our drink order, The main waiter gave us NO attention or service. Beer was hot. We were finally able to order our food. I ordered Chicken Cotelleta and it came out so pounded, so dry and so overcooked, I couldn't cut it with a fork and knife. The owner offered infused olive oil for the white bread as compensation. Birthday dinner gone totally south. Local Baltimore people outside heard where we went and said, oh no, don't go there. What a horrible waste of money and time. Catherine Gilliam
