This place is amazing. We've used her many times! The cakes are sooooo moist and delicious and pretty too!! I would recommend if you're in this area go check out cakes in the city, and if you're not in the area ITS DEFINITELY WORTH THE DRIVE!

A few weeks ago, I was searching for a Black-owned business to provide delicious treats for a family celebration. I stopped in without notice and was warmly welcomed by Cassaundra, also known as the Cake Lady, who kindly assisted me with an impromptu tasting. After discussing the party size and type of event, she helped me choose the perfect treats—lemon, signature chocolate, and red velvet mini cupcakes. They were an absolute hit!
Pickup was a breeze, with the order ready even earlier than agreed, which helped the day run smoothly. Several guests raved about the cupcakes, and we made sure to share where they could find them. Thank you, Cassaundra, for your outstanding service, professionalism, and truly delicious treats. They were the perfect addition to an unforgettable day!

This is one of my favorite desserts shops in Baltimore I mean everything is so delicious. I mean everything is so demure delightfully delicious ? even the peanut butter cookies but make sure you get fresh ones once they get old they don’t taste the same.
Someone got me these cupcakes for my birthday and they were amazing! Maybe the best cupcakes I’ve ever had- especially the vanilla and one that I think was cinnamon? I will definitely be ordering more in the future :)

On my way to get my hair cut yesterday I decided it was time to stop in this adorable little bakery. I purchased a French Vanilla cupcake that was adorned with gold leaf!!! It was probably the best cupcake I have ever had. It was tremendously moist and just the right amount of icing on top. I will definitely be going back.

Very good banana pudding and cupcakes.The only reason for the four stars is that I came by here today (4/5) with my pregnant family member, who was craving something sweet. When I get there, there is a paper sign on the door that said that they are closed from 4/3-4/7, returning on the 10th.We came from the other side of town to discover them being closed.Please in the future use the temporarily closed feature on Google, to avoid people making a trip for nothing.

The Banana Pudding Dream is incredible. This boutique pastry shop is a treat to visit and I hear coffee is coming soon. Cassaundra can also make custom cakes with images and creative designs.
We love Cakes In The City!! The owner is such a lovely person who is so personable and makes you feel right at home immediately. We’ve come to refer to the shop as “our cake lady” we love her! And oh my god, best cake and banana pudding we have ever had! Can’t recommend this place enough!
