Delicious baked goods by a couple of very lovely and sweet ladies. They always greet you with a smile and the store is bright and clean, though seating is a bit limited.
I'm sad that they don't serve full breakfast anymore, but they still offer a varied menu full of both sweet and savory breads, cookies, cakes, scones, etc. Make sure you follow them on Instagram to see their new flavors and special deals everyday. They also offer grab bags of day-old-items that are a good way of eating your way through the menu. These are a great value (coming from a poor student) and still just as delish after popping into an air fryer or microwave. I do, however, recommend trying out their homemade donuts fresh. So light, fluffy, and chewy -- and they sell the donut holes too!

Wow! What a lovely find. Charmed is a locally owned restaurant owned by 2 sisters. They serve breakfast all day. I chose a BLT burger and it was fantastic. The thick cut bacon was perfectly crispy and the burger itself was tender and very juicy. There was plenty of bacon on the burger. They use fresh ground beef, not frozen, which is a game-changer in the world of burgers. The fries were good, but undercooked and limp and greasy. The general atmosphere is quaint and unpretentious, and the location, right in the heart of Mt. Vernon is unbeatable. Put this on your list of places to try.

Walked in an hour before closing, and they told us they're closing early because it's hot out? Yes, it's hot in the summer. That's how seasons work lol. If they're trying to keep their kitchen cool, I get that, but they offered us take out which means they'd still be cooking our food either way...
