Checkerspot Brewing Company Reviews
One of my favorite local breweries! Juniperus IPA for the win! Such depth in their beers with a huge variety always on tap! And an added bonus woman owed/head brewer! Judy and Rob have really done something special here!
This is absolutely my favorite brewery in South Baltimore, if not all of Maryland. The welcoming atmosphere, the friendly staff and hands down the best beer I've ever had all come together to make it one of my favorite places to be. It's great before a game, on a Sunday afternoon, or after work with friends. They're inclusive and community focused, and have done a ton for the area around the brewery. They also do so much to help worthy causes like BARCS, Second Chance, community...read full review

The Checkerspot Brewing Company offers a great atmosphere, particularly for O's games, with a friendly service and a good location. The brewery has a solid selection of beers, from crowd-pleasers to unique one-offs, though the food menu could use some improvement. The space is accommodating for larger groups, though it can be quite noisy.
The brewery is a local favorite, known for its depth and variety of beers, including the popular Juniperus IPA. The welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and high-quality beer make it a go-to spot for locals and visitors alike. The brewery is woman-owned and operated, adding to its unique character. The owners, Judy and Rob, have created a special place that is focused on the community, supporting local causes and hosting regular markets with small vendors.
While the beer and atmosphere are praised, the food menu could use some attention. Customers have noted that the food options are limited and could benefit from more effort and variety, particularly in the presentation of dishes like the cheese plate.
