I was in the area and craving Chinese food. This was the closet option. The customer service was warm and the food was EXCELLENT. Very tasty and inexpensive (~$10). This amount of food lasted me for two meals. This is the lunch special honey sesame chicken (fried breast meat with probably a cornstarch coating in a sweet/savory glaze) and fried rice. When I’m back in Baltimore and craving Chinese food, I’ll definitely be back.3/8/24 2:00pm

I was very surprised, didn't know that it was there, I got the general tso chicken, which was made with white meat chunks ? the sauce was a little off but you can get more heat if you want, I'll do that next time, wife got the shrimp fried rice, it's was good, came in a plastic container so it was a lot of rice, my daughter got the beef and broccoli, made with real beef. Overall a good experience. I will be ordering from there more frequently.

This is a classic hole in the wall Chinese takeout place. The chicken broccoli was mediocre. The chicken was way too soft, but the broccoli was good. The fried rice it came with didn't have enough egg, or things other than just rice. And the rice really did not stay well in the fridge at all. The service was decent, they were able to quickly cook my food, and the host was decently nice. There are no places to sit in the restaurant, FYI.

The best chicken and broccoli with fried rice in baltimore. It reminds me much of NY chicken and broccoli. The sauce is amazing. I eat from here at-least 2 to 3 times a week for lunch and the owners are so nice. The service is decent. This is a pick up and go mom and pop place. No place to sit in eat; no ambiance.

Chow Mein Charlie is a local mom and pop Chinese takeout restaurant. My friend, Jeffery recommended the chicken and broccoli. I got it medium level spicy with an order of fried rice. It was so good, the veggies were fresh and the sauce was very tasty. They don't give you a ton of meat. However, the food is simple and fresh. The fried rice was amazing, very simple finished with onions and eggs.Prices are still reasonable even though the went up due to inflation.

My first time here and the food didnt impress me. The shrimp egg rolls had a tiny sliver of a shrimp in each one, I guess it was to justify calling it a shrimp egg roll. The shrimp toast had no shrimp at all, just some type of seafood paste. The egg drop soup was bland. Oh! And the menu has a 15% markup due to the cost of supplies. ???? I will not be back.

So wanted to like this place. Waited for reopening all through pandemic as i was new to the neighborhood. Probably won't go back after first try-Asked for spicy hot hot hunan and it was mild and sweet. Scallops were not real (tasted like imitation crabmeat) and shrimp were small. Recommend New China II instead-better food and portions @ 75% of the price.

Typical generic Americanized Chinese food. It was edible.

Great friendly people and delicious food. The only Chinese restaurant we go to in Baltimore. Fresh food-not greasy.

As a patron over several years, we usually enjoy the food here, but we were sorely disappointed today. The barbecued ribs were tasteless, tough and stale! Suggest they be removed from the menu.

I love this mom 'n pop Chinese place. Here's what you can expect: tasty, homemade, Western-style Chinese food at decent prices, with great service. If you want extra fried food, or something sticky and too fatty, that sticks to your ribs, this isn't the Chinese for you. The chicken is fresh. The veggies are fresh. But done with Chinese (again, for the Western palette) preparations. Go in with the exact expectations I said, and you'll be happy. Honey sesame chicken is great, egg drop soup is superb (and reminds me of the Chinese food growing up in Brooklyn). Veggie rolls are nice and flaky on the outside. Why you should trust me: I'm a Jewish kid from Brooklyn. Why you shouldn't trust me: I'm not Chinese.
