Underwhelming, in one word: We ate on the bistro / more casual side, and had two pizzas, some pasta and a couple of starters. The pizza dough tasted like a brioche bread; very light and sweet, not something we would normally associate with nor desire in a pizza. The mozzarella was bland and soft, making the whole pizza experience a lot more American than Italian. The pasta sauce did not excite with its flavours, the fried artichokes were bland, too. I hadn't been to Cinghiale in a long time (probably over a decade). The last time I went, my wife and I found it disappointing. But we went to check it out again the night before Thanksgiving. What a rebound! The food was absolutely top notch. The calamari was as good as any I've had anywhere.
