This was our first visit to Citron, and it was a big occasion for us, to celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary. We have heard, over the years, much feedback regarding food, price, service and ultimately, we went to experience it for ourselves. When we arrived, we parked directly in front of Citron as there is more than sufficient parking. We were welcomed by the owner, Charles Levine and after a "Happy Anniversary," and a brief conversation Charles handed us off to a young man to seat us. We were the only ones in that room at 6:30pm on a Friday evening and the view was quite nice through the large window overlooking the quarry lake. Our server was a lovely young lady named Nicky. Throughout the meal she was knowledgeable, attentive and made our experience memorable. No rushing through this meal, as everything was spaced perfectly. Charles also periodically stopped by to check in on us. We ordered four courses with a primarily seafood theme. Ahi Tuna Tartare and Chilled Colossal Crabmeat appetizers were excellent as well as large portions. Caesar and Wedge salads prior to our entrées also wonderful as you would expect. We both had fish. My wife the Chilean Sea Bass and me the Rockfish with crabmeat. Again, the flavors were wonderful, delicate sauces were served over perfectly prepared fish, with the accompaniments perfectly chosen. Finally our deserts. I chose the Gold Leaf Chocolate Macadamia Nut Bar Layered with Vanilla & Cream Cheese Mousse. It was even better than it sounds. My wife had the Crème de le Monde with Caramelized Madagascar Gateau which is a take on Creme Brulee and was also fantastic and surprisingly light. Both came with a lit candle and a chocolate sign wishing us a happy anniversary. We truly enjoyed our experience and no, I will not publish our bill here. This is a place you go to enjoy the experience and not worry about price. If you cannot do that, I suggest somewhere else would suit you better.

It was a lovely experience at Citron. As always this wonderful restaurant never disappoints. Thank you to Charles and all the staff for a fantastic evening.

A fantastic culinary experience where I fet cared for and valued as a customer. The food was outstanding, the wait staff excelled at their job, and the owner himself came by to make sure that we were taken care of! 10/10, five stars, zero complaints. This restaurant would be hard to beat.

I celebrated my girlfriend's birthday at Citron and the entire experience was outstanding. We were seated outside with a beautiful waterfront view, and the atmosphere was serene and elegant. The food was incredible—she had the lamb shank with herb risotto, which was rich and perfectly cooked. I ordered the 16 oz French cut cowboy steak and it was one of the best I've had. Portions were generous and everything was beautifully presented. Our server, Jonathan, was warm, conversational, and made sure everything went smoothly throughout the night. The restaurant was very clean and well-kept. Watching wildlife near the water added a unique, peaceful touch to the evening. Highly recommended for a romantic dinner or any special occasion. We'll definitely be back!

Me and my wife came to celebrate our 11 year anniversary and the staff were incredibly welcoming and would remember to recite throughout the night congratulation our marriage together. Our waitress Nicky was very kind and articulated very clearly menu items, suggestions, and even let us just soak in the time and view from our table. It is a fancy, glimmering, elegant restaurant with a lot of choices and top dress code. We enjoyed every part of our dinner and our cheesecake with congratulations and a candle was a wonderful topping at the end. We would definitely recommend and would eat there again.

Being that Citron is advertised as a high-end restaurant; I was surprised that there was no bread service and that tables were not dressed with linens. Also, we had a long gap between receiving our appetizers and our meal. My husband's steak was very good, but my lamb chops were chewy. I expected them to be very tender. However, the server was delightful and the location (lakeview) is spectacular. I would definitely return for drinks and appetizers. The decor and food were not on par with other high-end MD restaurants that my husband and I have been to. Not sure that I would recommend.

My wife and I had a date night last evening and we sat lake side, which was breathtaking. We started with the Mussels app, inwhich they were far more cultivating than any other known seafood establishment we've tasted. She ordered the Jumbo Lump Crabcake entree, which was full of lump crabmeat, with no shells. I ordered the Sea Scallops, and there again very pleased with their tenderness and elegant taste. Then there was our server Jonathan, he was very personable and attentive to us. We were very satisfied with his service and our evening. We will be back very soon!

It was a very slow night with only 3 tables . The service was great Jonathon took great care of us and the owner treated us to a great dessert wine. The food on the other hand was extremely overpriced and I hate to say but it was horrible. The wedge salad was not really put together and the bacon was in strips and cold. Two of us ordered the filets and it just wasn't good . The bousin sauce was thick and cold . My son ordered lamb that was definitely old and my daughter ordered lobster orzo that had old claw meat in the orzo and it was definitely a reheated item with a fresh half lobster tail on top. After the first bite she couldn't eat it cause the orzo tasted fishy. We spent over $600 and I won't be back . Very disappointed that this was a bday event. I will say that the service was great tho so it was hard to give a negative review. Just wasn't worth the money .

Thoroughly enjoyed this dine in experience. The outdoor patio is a total joy and suave experience. The food is bar none and I only had a flatbread, but tasted the lamb chops (which were king in size) and the ribeye (which was tender and an all around delectable treat).

Surely will revisit again.

I must warn though... It is pricey but well worth the cost.

Just amazing! The atmosphere set the tone and the mood for a perfect date night and the food was just amazing and served very timely.

My husband and I went to Citron for a date night. The first description I read of the restaurant was “romantic” and it absolutely is. We were able to sit outside and watch the geese, birds and deer along the lake. Jonathan was an amazing server, super friendly and answered all of our questions. We got mussels and calamari to start and steaks for dinner, all excellent.

A consistent favorite of mine!! Great service, ambiance, food & beverage... the list goes on. I had an incredible meal (sushi & lamb chops) and my husband enjoyed the calamari and swordfish. We can't wait to come back (we live in NY) again soon! Charles and the team did a great job.
