There are days that the food is decent and other days where the food is inedible. The weekends are the absolute worst and the meat is often left out for hours at a time. The main dishes are also disgusting. Most weekends people have to order out or not eat at all. It super upsetting as a student. I would not recommend.

The worst experience for a parent......I have no idea that her kid is safe or getting a good education. They are very expensive and are not good at guiding freshman through their first year.

Coppin has the worse communication and customer service ever. And this summer proved this statement even more true. I signed up for 2 summer classes. Midway through my class, I was contacted by the financial aid office that my funding was going to be taken away because I was not enrolled in any courses. I quickly tired to speak with the Registra's office about this mix up but all they could tell me was that my class were dropped because of no funding!? I tired desperately to speck with a counselor to have this rectified since I did in fact have aid for the summer. The only answer I was able to get was to wait 3-5 business days for someone to reach out to me or I could come to the school to talk in person. Excuse me but I work a full time job, and coppin is 3hours away from me. I don't have the luxury to leave work in the middle of the day and drive a 3 hours to Baltimore!!! I filed 4 tickets in a period of two weeks and was given the same answer, to wait 3-5 days..... In the end I was never reached out to. I was never able to get back into my classes!! I was given a fake number to call by one of the help desk agents and falsely promised that someone would be able to talk to me about the issue. Coppin is very unprofessional and does not have a student first attitude. If your looking to come to Coppin DON'T!!!! It's a waste of time and effort. Honestly just go to Morgan or Towson.

My daughter attend Coppin State University, well-established HBCU. I went there for lunch to meet her food was good little busy. At the time I was there was a little cold I ended up getting a really nice hot soup chicken noodle if I remember correctly and my daughter has the cream of crab when she was not disappointed with. If you're on the campus that's a great spot to stop into if it's open while you're there if you need a quick meal

Coppin State University is a jewel in West Baltimore. The campus is beautiful, and equipt with lots of technology. It is more of a commuter school although they do have two co-ed dorms on campus. The university has 32 different undergraduate majors. Very strong Allied Health, STEM, and Criminal Justice programs. It's a great place to jump start your professional dream and aspirations.
