My 16 year old daughter visited this establishment, November 15th, 2025, for a dinner party to celebrate her paternal grandmother. During the party, her coat fell on the floor. When she picked it up, she noticed a black mouse trap stuck to the sleeve of her coat. There was a conversation had btwn her father and the owner(male) as of a result of my daughter’s, now, ruined coat. The owner promised reimbursement to her father after another coat was purchased. Due to the fact that the coat was purchased by me and I would be purchasing a new one, I contacted the establishment, Monday November 17th, 2025, to ensure the promises that were made would be satisfied. When calling, I asked to speak with a manager. The lady, who answered, replied that she was the manager. I explained the situation and she informed me that she wasn’t privy to the situation or the conversation had with my daughter’s dad. A male voice in the background, then admitted to remembering the conversation. At first, he denied making any promises of reimbursement…saying that my daughter’s dad told him not to worry about it.(of course, this wasn’t true…why would my daughter’s dad have a conversation about the coat)After asking my daughter, while on the phone what was said, the owner(male) confirmed that he told my daughter’s dad that he would take care of the expenses of the coat. Once that was said, the lady(who refused to pass the phone to the OWNER involved) replied that since she isn’t privy to the situation/conversation, that “we”, her and I will allow the “them”(referring to the male owner and my daughter’s dad) handle it. I explained to her that I purchased the coat and I’m the responsible for getting a new one and asked if I could speak with the owner involved. She continued to speak over me and then disconnected the call. I called back, several times…no answer. I left a voicemail, no return call. It’s beyond the coat, at this moment. This isn’t how business is handled or how you treat ppl who patronize your restaurant. I hope after this lesson(the proper steps have been taken) that this establishment understands that longevity in any business, relies on the continued relationships of its patrons and how you treat them can ultimately affect the business’s life span…

Me and my daughter had reservation at 8:30pm on 10/11/25 so we had to wait 10 or 15 minutes to be seated because the table that we were going to sit at people were still sitting so they put us at another table. We sat there 30 to 45 minutes before we were served. We ordered and then we waited and waited do the young lady came and tell us y to hat they were out of mashed potato, yams so I ordered green. Then she came back like 20 minutes Ty o tell me they don’t have any more salmon with the Mac and Cheese. Ok so I got something else. We waited again like 30 minutes for them to tell us that they were out of collard greens. At that time we were so disappointed and disgusted cause we were hungry and they ran out of food. That was our first time coming there. I saw it on IG and I wanted to try it. The staff were very friendly

If this is an actual restaurant, then adhere to the 'protocols', you know, like having a host greet you so you don't have to wait and the host seats at the bar staring at you before it registers that you in fact made a reservation. Then when you are seated and request appetizer, it is only common sensical to have small plates but no, you have to ask for it and if you do, it takes another 20 mins. Oh and when you're done ordering your food, please ask to take the menu away. Finally it would only make sense that after the long wait, you'd get the order right but nooooo..... Anyway, if you're here for the vibes and just not expect restaurant service, then this is the place to be. Good music for the millennials, grown vibes!

I can't say enough about this place. It felt good from the door entrance. Three greeters welcomed us at the door. We did not have a reservation so they sat us in a very comfortable and quaint siting area while they picked a beautiful couples area for my wife and I. THE FOOD. OMG. I got reggae pasta with salmon. The flavor was the best I ever had. My wife got the salmon cakes but me being greater, dipped her fish cake into my pasta sauce 😋 🙃 😐. It was over. The live musician with all the singalong hits really pushed them over the top. Needless to say, i doubled my tip.

This was one of the worse experiences I’ve had at a restaurant. We got seated and waited 15 minutes for a server, no biggie cause the music was good. Finally the server came by and took our drink order. We ordered a Long Island a lemon drop and a sprite. The sprite was flat heavily diluted, the Long Island tasted like all lemon juice and vodka and the lemon drop was lemonade.
We told we asked for a replacement and the sprite came as club soda this time. We were gonna just stay and eat without a drink since they are all horrible and as we began to order food, basically everything we ordered was out. The waiter went to the manager she said he told her to charge us for the alcohol in the drinks that we didn’t drink. Not only did they not have food to serve. But had the nerve to charge us for drink that was disgusting. Don’t go here.
I live in NYC and I manage my own restaurant this is not a place I would recommend even if the food was free.

We went on 8-16-2025. We were coming from DC and needed some last minute food. One of the staff members outside by the front door was friendly giving me directions to the initial place I was looking for. But then we decided to go into Corkscrew because of the atmosphere and pictures we saw online. The kitchen was closing but one of the staff members decided to keep it open for us. Then the chef came over to us and asked us to order whatever we wanted it was no problem at all. The food was cooked perfectly. The bar tender was also amazing! Will be returning!

My monthly brunch with my family and friends was here. I love the atmosphere and food. The service was good, even though they were short staffed. I ordered the salmon cake Benedict. It was delicious. The chef is very friendly and passionate about his food. The young lady who was our server was friendly and kind. Toya, the owner was very accommodating to my needs for my party. I appreciate the experience and will be back. Just a FYI, prepare for parking challenges in the area. Go on a weekday it may help.

I usually don’t do reviews at all. My first time trying this restaurant was lasted Friday June 6, 2025. Me and my cousins went to have a bite to eat and have a drink. However, the owner was truly amazing and I wish she continued to be our server/bartender!! Ok manager let me and my cousins know that another server would be continuing with our service. When I tell you that the bartender was very unprofessional to the point that he stood by the kiosk to asked for our order. I honestly forgot his name but it begins with a “A”. However, he never engage with us but engage with other customers next to us. He never asked if we wanted something else to drink or how was everything as far as the food nothing !!!! Then, he notice that we were done our food but still didn’t engage at all. No type of conversation or anything but we all seen he did it with everyone else!! Lastly, when it came to the tab we split the bill in 3 ways. My cousins tip him but me I didn’t because of his service. On the 9th of this month I’ve notice in my recent transactions history that he added his own $10 tip to my bill, that’s totally unacceptable and that’s fraudulent as well!!! What I can say is the food was truly amazing but his service was HORRIBLE and need to be check.
