We were bar hopping in Hampden and came upon this restaurant/bar. The service was phenomenal. Our server, Kaisia, was great. The drinks were also excellent. Go check them out... We will definitely be back!!!!

I can't really justify the price for the service and goods received. They are experimenting with automatic gratuity. The last placed that enforced this on the avenue closed down which was Five and Dime. None of the employees seemed to know anything. Will see how this place continues to grow. The interior is done thoughtfully but food and service not. The reviews must be from friends and family because I just did not see or have this type of experience.
hmm cant see my previous comments. nice.

The hours are so odd and don’t match up to reality. Just thought I’d get that off my chest.
That is all. I also think they are removing honest reviews...

As foodies, we went for the food and on that alone, would not go back. Our server was very nice despite the disappointment showing on our face as we left within 45 minutes. We couldn't get out fast enough. It was way too hot, and the air was not on. The "free" drink was way too sweet and warm (no taste of alcohol). Portions are so small for the amount and not flavored. When we questioned the portions of the fish, the manager greeted us and resolved quickly. My friend and I took two bites and were very disappointed. We took the food home and doctored it up ourselves. First, it was half a piece of whiting fish, not even a whole size at first. Second, even more disappointed when we discovered it wasn't catfish. Never had fish & grits with whiting and wouldn't do that again. The grits were not seasoned and no cheese in sight. The only flavor was from the Cajun sauce only on top, so the bottom of the grits lacked very much. Also, the shrimp they mistakenly added to our fish & grits, was less than a bite size, never seen them so small, but flavored. We love to support black-owned businesses, but this was not it. Now, if you go just for drinks, then maybe more your speed and pleasant ambience.

The Atmosphere is very good, however; the Thursday menu was not I was forced to order off a 6 Iteam menu only because it was a Thursday actually 5 one item was not available. I did not like service they were not prepared with enough waiters. I was disappointed when I couldn't order off the Regular menu. Please work on this for you Vegan/Pescatarian customers. We need more on that HH

When I stepped into Corkscrew on a Saturday night, I was struck by how much of a geniunely good time everyone was having. But when you consider that the DJ was doing his thing with banger after banger, it's little wonder. The food: I found it to be solid but some items were not as moist and flavorful as they could have been (the salmon), didn't have the kick they could have (the jerk egg rolls), and others saltier than they should have been (the collard greens), I really enjoyed their mac and cheese--it's perfect crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside--the way it's supposed to be. I would order that alone and be happy. The drinks: the bartenders were on point. We had a variety of drinks both on their menu and classics. They hit every time. They even make a great amaretto sour. The Corkscrew sour was a surprising and welcome twist on the sours we are familiar with. And I'm not embarrassed to say that I ordered an amaretto sour and enjoyed it. Like really enjoyed it. The bartenders are beyond belief. The music: we were initially disappointed that there wasn't live music this time but the DJ quickly made us forget all about it. He was playing hits from the 2000s, modern tracks, Afrobeats, Baltimore classics, and even some 70s all timers here and there. It was incredible.Vibe: the seats are so plush and comfortable that you don't want to leave. The interior design says sexy urban chic. You feel so damn elegant just being here.Service: the young man who served us was pleasant and noticeably polite. However, after we ordered from the menu, we were perplexed to see waiters walking by with plates of fried fish, steak, and salmon--all not listed on the menu.We didn't see him for some time but when we flagged him down, it turns out he that he forgot to tell us about the specials. Then he asked if we wanted him to tell us about the specials. It was as annoying as it was hilarious. I couldn't be mad at him at all.Overall: this place is awesome. We have to keep spots like this in Baltimore open at all costs. Please go support them and you'll have a great time doing it. 9/10

The website is misleading about the food, but the price you pay for microwave bar food is not worth ordering. Drinks OVER PRICED,but the host showed No Hospitality whatsoever. It would've been better if I went to McDonald's. The waitresses were friendly, and I hate when I'm forced to pay gratuity, but I understand . Most people Don't Tip Right.

Clearly the reviews are falsified or from employees because my experience has been nothing more than unappealing (to be as kind as possible). They don’t open on time, despite us having a reservation. Their reservation site doesn’t work properly and I had to inform them, they were completely unaware. Several groups came in and complained about the same issues with their reservations. Our reservation was at 1pm and I did not receive my food until 3pm. The server informed us that my food wasn’t even put in. The staff is not aware of their own policies and specials because every person had a different answer for our questions. I could go on and on, but honestly it’s not worth it. I do my best to provide grace for new businesses, but this is ridiculous. Staff is unprofessional and I won’t be returning.

Visited with a female friend on a Friday night. We were late for our reservation and were still seated without issue or even a mention of the lateness. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The menu options were nice and we were both impressed with the presentation and taste of our food (we both ordered cauliflower bites; I had the shrimp Caesar salad, and my friend had the salmon cakes with Mac and cheese). The ambiance is beautiful. The live band was so, so nice- interactive with the crowd, played well-known songs and even added some Baltimore flair. Someone in a leadership position came and asked about our experience, which was nice. This place exceeded my expectations and I look forward to returning for a date night!

If looking for a New Spot for Happy Hour drinks and Appetizers this maybe for you. Came here for date night on Fridaywe really enjoyed it!! a small but elegant restaurant with a good vibe. If you like to engage with your company before the night begins, then make reservations at 7 by 8-830 on Friday the Live Jazz band? will be playing, and they are good, so you won't be talking. Drinks and Food "small bites" as they call them were good but hence the name they were just that. Over all enjoyed. Will recommend so if in the area try it!!

Had an amazing time lastnight at Corkscrew, from the moment I walked in with my party we were greeted by Ke’Asia, which also turned out to be our table host as I don’t use the word waitress or server. She was pleasant, Knowledgeable, outgoing, attentive, fast and efficient. I even looked over a few times from our table and seen that she would taste the drinks with the straw after the bartender would make them before bringing them to us and that I can appreciate. Everything from the drinks to the music to the food and service was 10/10 I will definitely be back soon. The shrimp….OMG! Oh yeah and if you are a Lemon drop person. The strawberry Lemon drop…. You’ll thank me later.
Parking: The parking is difficult because of the location. Nice Neighborhood but you will have trouble with parking because Residence as well as other bar/food options in the area causes limited parking. Give yourself enough time, especially having a reservation.
