Last month, I ordered an omelette and found a metal piece in my eggs. The order got voided and I was told the money will be returned in a few days. It's been 19 days, and I haven't received my refund yet. Today, I visited the Cafe and was greeted by the Owner. He asked what happened and I explained the situation. He responded with a smile and said, 'you know we charge extra for metal'. I gave him a serious look and said, 'For metal?'. He replied, 'It seems like that went over your head' and walked away. I understood the joke but don't insult my intelligence let alone downplay the situation that I encountered. Clearly, the wellbeing of your customers is a joke to you. You forget that we are your bread and butter. Without customers you have no business. Let's joke about that and see how you responds then. Oh and the void receipt you get from this place is a scam to convince you that you will receive your money back but don't. Do yourself a big favor and don't eat here.

I ordered a cappuccino and avocado toast. The cappuccino was impressively bad, I had two sips and then stopped drinking. The avocado toast was mediocre, but at least edible. I’m surprised this place is so highly rated, to be honest.

I have to see what the bar is like inside. Have a drink and something grilled for the next visit.

The unique atmosphere is hard to beat, but the staff and breakfast sandwiches manage it! Best breakfast sandwich I've had in Baltimore!

Really great place! Stopped in for a quick breakfast. The staff here were very warm and welcoming, and were helpful in answering our questions. We ordered at the counter and then took a seat with our number. I had one of the breakfast burritos which was good and very filling. My partner had the BALT and a side of home fries. This was also very good. This place is inside an interesting old building with seating next to the large windows, very lovely space.

Never can just get in and out , no matter if you call 20 minutes a head of time or place order in store , you’ll always find yourself waiting 30 mins in total , kitchen and staff never seem to get orders right or at least process them correctly, it’s never in urgency to take care of you , always a nonchalant or lack that of from the owner David .What I mean by no urgency or lack there of because two different times my order was wrong and when I complained to him personally, his attitude was like what do you want me to do im sorry you order for screwed up, im not in the kitchen im just the owner walking around pretending like I give a damn, when really I don’t, just shut up and pay me . I am highly allergic to cheese and I clearly told the cashier no cheese , she repeats my order back to me with no cheese , but for whatever reason my order had cheese on it . Just too many times I’ve let this restaurant slide but not any more

What a Hidden GEM! I have the pastrami which was the Charles Street Special on Jewish Rye. It was the best I have had in a very long time. There's nothing quite like a good hot pastrami sandwich. Make sure you get yours here!I also had Moorenko's ice cream here. Fantastic. This historical bank transformed into a cafe is a MUST SEE & EAT in Baltimore!

Had breakfast here this morning. Bustling, fast paced little place. Service was fast, efficient, and friendly. Prices and value for dollar were great. Everything we tried was fresh, well prepared and delicious. We had cheesy bacon grits and stuffed French toast, bagels with lox.Didn't think to take before photos...lol, but you can tell by the after one I'm being ?.

David and Dad's is what appears to be an old bank building. This breakfast restaurant is great way to reuse the space. Spacious with plenty of tables to sit. My hotels offers breakfast but this restaurant is way better option with a variety of options. The cashiers/servers are all really nice and helpful; can the owner open up a place in NYC please with the same type of customer service, PLEASE!!!I ate here almost every day of my stay in Baltimore, the offerings of French toast, home fries, omelettes and iced latte made me a happy foodie.Any time I am back in Baltimore I will definitely go back to this restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Definitely a space for family and kids.

This place has decent simple food for a good price.I got cinnamon French toast which came with bacon and eggs, as well as some home fries. The portions are reasonable. It’s very no nonsense, and has a nice environment.

730am breakfast alone. Not overly busy but definitely steady. Restaurant is clean inside and outside while a few tables could use a wiped own. Building is and older classic look. My food arrived hot and fresh. Did not know there were onions cooked in the potatoes but not big deal. After you eat at a table you pay at the cashier and can leave your dishes on the table. There is a self service drink counter. Associates have been polite and helpful. Casual atmosphere
