Great spot! Nice selection at the bar and plenty of seating for groups. The curry goat is legit.

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Denzel's Shark Bar! The authentic Jamaican flavors were a treat especially the standout curry goat tacos. We split a variety of appetizers, from the mac & cheese, ox tail spring rolls, crab cake, plantain, cod fritter, collard green spring rolls, were all crafted to perfection. The ginger mule drink was balanced perfectly. Lastly the brown sauce with the red snapper was top notch! One of the best brown sauces I’ve had. The negative reviews I came across did not match my exceptional visit – the food was divine, the staff was exceptional, and the drinks were strong. I highly recommend trying Denzel's Shark Bar to form your own opinion and indulge in a memorable culinary journey. I can't wait to return on my next visit to Baltimore!

This review comes from the heart. My wife and I shared our 12th anniversary at Denzel's yesterday and we were blown away with the service and food! I never do reviews, but I had to for this experience. I was contemplating the salmon but I got the shrimp and grits and she got the curry goat tacos (she wanted tacos and we were going to go to Reuben's next door and they had a taco Tuesday special with $1.99 tacos BTW). Marian? I think was our server's name, and we've both been servers for years so we could tell she was a pro haha! I DJ in Fells every Saturday so I'll be ordering from here before work VERY often! Edit* I didn't know how all of this works but I added some pictures of our food after I wrote this review and I added a picture of the pineapple upside down dessert which came with some kind of cream sauce and fresh berries which was amazing lol!
Not a pleasant experience. Went for brunch Sunday, July 23, as a party of four. Two of us ordered the shrimp and grits, which is listed as a signature entrée, neither of us liked the dish. As someone who tries not to send food back unfortunately in this case I had to. This is not your typical shrimp and grits. None of the flavos worked well together. Neither I nor the other individual who ordered the dish liked it. We kindly informed the waitress of out concerns with the dish. I asked if I could order a side of potatoes to go along with the side of eggs that I had ordered. The waitresses returned to let us know that the shrimp and grits would be removed from our bill, however, we were unable to purchase anything else. I HAVE NEVER I MY ENTIRE LIFE BEEN TOLD SUCH FOOLISHNESS! To tell a paying customer that they are no longer allowed to make a purchase because they do not like what they initially ordered is insanity at it's finest.I can only imagine that a $150 bill turning into an$100 bill hurts the waitness, especially considering that the tip is included. As far as Mr. DENZEL...He is extremely rude, arrogant, and condescending. Upon us leaving the establishment we saw that he was sitting outside. I decided to inquire from the owner himself why such a policy existed. He never answered my question. Went on to say that we didn't like his food because it is authentic Caribbean food and we are not "use" to that type of cooking. SIR PLEASE! Apparently people complain about the shrimp and grits and restaurants pasta all the same FOR THE SAME REASONS we didn't like it.My final straw and when I had to walk off came when my friend made a comment about wanting to support us and Mr. DENZEL's response was that baltimore is the only place that he has been to where people talk about supporting a black business ?.Yeah, so it's a no for me and should be for you. You can't support people who don't want to be supported!

Best rum punch I've ever had. Denzel made it himself! Be careful though or you might end up on the dance floor as the rum and beats hit you at the same time. The food was great! How can you say no to curry roti? They were even talking about oxtail pizza coming up. (Imma come back for that.)Marian and Jamie provided excellent, friendly service and were always up for a chat. Some of these reviews are wild. Come try the food for yourself and see if you don't dig the Jamaican vibes. Denzel and Nadine are sure to make it right so speak up if there's something they can do to make your experience a 10/10 like they did with mine.

We got to the restaurant with a table for 4. The server was nice and resourceful. The food arrived and the shrimp and grits were nasty. When the women in our party asked to change their food, the waiter told us she could not allow for us to order anymore food as per their policy from the chef. We left with two hungry ladies!

Listen I’m from the Caribbean island and a foodie! And i want to say that the oxtails is a scam. Why the bones look different? Let me tell you why it’s mix in with beef ? neck bones. And my rice was not fresh. Yal need to do better because yal are in a nice location. Hope other people have a better experience!I was not driven back 25 minutes into the city to return the dish! I had a long day So i settled and ate it. And as far as the Rasta pasta no my son couldn’t finish it because your shrimp tasted old to him. And i know pictures are worth a 1000 words. Why are you putting beef neck bones with oxtail. How about you address that. And If you like to give me my money back i will gladly come in and confront you about it, Any day you please ??

It's very much credible. I didn't want to take the time to provide the full details. How about inquire about my experience, before denying my authenticity? As a Black business owner, I didn't want to publicly drag your watery lobster and grits or the no flavored banana foster French toast. Your drinks were amazing (and I'm not a drinker), so that balanced out the review.
The food be awesome. The banana fosters French toast slaps. The collard green spring rolls refresh you. The cocktails are very good. Just go. You will love it. Take a look all around Fells after, catch the vibes.

Pretty good Caribbean spot. The jerk chicken was only ok, but the curry chicken roti was good. Loved the plantains. Service was friendly and speedy.
