I am someone who appreciates a chicken sandwich. And while living in Baltimore, and since leaving Baltimore, I have tried, but I have never had one as good as the Neighborhood Bird Bun. I am not sure a better sandwich exists; we may have peaked. I live just under 10 hours from the nearest Ekiben and have for over a year. I still think about it.

Place is legit.
I like getting the spicy neighborhood bowl with 2 buns on the side. You can make two sandwiches out of 2 big pieces of chicken that they give you.

I got the tofu sandwich and the Temple Broccoli and both were sooo good. The tofu sandwich was super flavorful and filling, and the Temple Broccoli was crispy and just hit the spot.
The service was honestly just as good as the food. The guy who took my order gave awesome recommendations and was really friendly. He even came back at the end to make sure we liked everything, which was really cool.
Definitely one of my favorite spots now. I’ll 100% be back.
The Bird Bowl and yuzuade were excellent—generous enough for two if you’re not too hungry. Freshly fried chicken and pickles paired perfectly over rice. Quick, courteous service, paid parking right outside, and limited seating (about 10). Will definitely be back to try more from the menu.

Best dinner during my visit to Baltimore. I had the spicy neighborhood bird bun and the crab rangoon egg roll. The chicken was massive and seasoned to perfection. The steam bun offered a perfect balance of sweet. The service was amazing. It was packed with limited seating so best for pick up for larger groups or if you don’t like loud music.

Buns buns all kinds of buns. Real good.
The young guys there are top notch, and know everything about customer service. The place is clean, and the ambiance awesome. There are 2 locations I think. This is NOT the one in Hampden in the alley. It's the other. THIS WILL BE WHERE I GO FROM NOW ON!!!! 10****

I was not prepared.
These garlic chili oil noodles came out swinging—spicy, savory, rich, and addictive. And the tofu?! Chef’s kiss. Crispy, juicy, and absolutely perfect.
I will be back.
Got the crab rangoon egg roll. Not worth $10.00 for one egg roll with just imitation crab. Didn't taste great, either.
Best carry-out in the city. You can't go wrong here!!

Happened to stumble upon their food truck at the farmers market and I was so glad I decided to try. The food was amazing!

It smelled disgusting in the restaurant, which is great considering I was trying to eat my food which, by the way, was covered in cilantro and ruined the entire meal. To top it off, the manager was cussing in front of an elderly couple, which I thought was super rude and unprofessional.
