Amazing restaurant. Staff is super nice. Portions are gigantic. Everything is consistently delicious. It’s easily my favorite destination for Latin American chicken.

Chicken is delicious, juicy, moist and tender. I eat there when I am hungry and don’t want to disappointed. It is my go to place …..little pricy but I can eat the whole chicken throughout the day and want more.
Nice staff, very courteous and helpful. I have only had the plantains and mashed potatoes….both are excellent.

What a bummer. I was stoked to try this place because they’re so close by and a semi healthy lunch option. I’m no Peruvian food expert, but I’ve had probably tried 5-6 different places in Baltimore.

Here’s what I noticed about el gran pollo :

Sauce doesn’t come with the chicken unless specified. And there is no way to do so through the DoorDash app. The green and yellow sauce is my favorite part of the meal and I didn’t get any, so I had half a chicken with no sauce at all.

The chicken is much smaller than other places like chicken Rico or Limas.

A bit pricy, a bit stingy on portion sizes.

Here’s why I’ll be back to try it again:

Chicken was so good. Even on its own, it had great flavor.

I ordered the marinated grilled shrimp, brussels sprouts, and yucca. The portion of shrimp was generous and they had a nice flavor. I'd assume the flavor is from chili oil and paprika or some similar blend. The sprouts with carrots were excellent, they were a bit spicy which I enjoyed. The Yucca was cooked perfectly, crispy outside and soft inside. Pricing is reasonable for the level of quality. It might cost a little more than what you are used to for lunch, but you are getting real, genuine food and not something processed. We'll be back!

Really great business practice to open a location then have no phone number listed and no website to order through…then even when you contact their HQ website they still don’t get back to you or provide any reliable way to get in touch with the location…

I guess this place wants to lose money

There’s no phone number listed anywhere for this location and they are not set up to order online. I wasted an hour of my life starving to death trying to find a way to contact them. What I’m ordering takes time and I don’t want to sit and wait in their restaurant for an hour.
