Had a 7:30 reservation on valentine's day but they were already out of almost everything we wanted to order. They had nothing from the valentine's day special menu and none of our first-choice appetizers or entrees. That being said what we ended up getting was still very good and a decent portion for the price.

We love this restaurant, but ownership clearly decided to cash in big on the holiday and had packed two extra dining rooms to accommodate the crowd. As a result, none of our food arrived hot. I think that when people are making reservations for a high end restaurant, you're obligated to maintain those standards. It's almost impossible to produce high end food in mass. No one wants to pay $45 for lukewarm red snapper.

This was the second time dining at Plaka, and my friend and I decided to come try out restaurant week. Between the both of us, we wanted to try the mussels and the dips (The tzatziki is fantastic!) and shared the moussaka and crabcake. Dessert was to die for. Everything exceeded our expectations, including the service! One of the best parts of the meal was having Lynn as the server, she was one of the best servers we’ve had and was attentive, knowledgeable, and personal - we hope to come back soon and have her as our server again!

Please please please consider using Plaka for your events!!! The venue is beautiful and everyone could not stop talking about how great everything went. We were very pleased with everything!
I was working with Estiatorio Plaka to plan a private dinner event. I do not have much experience but their catering director Antonia (Toni) and the entire team was incredibly patient, kind and professional with all of my questions throughout the process -- Toni really makes sure you are all good to go in terms of venue and food.
The venue itself is gorgeous with a lot of natural lighting even before decorations are all set up. They have two options for rooms upstairs depending on the size of your party. Parking is also free in a nearby lot just across the street. The bakery on the main floor which has a lot of delicious options as well. Highly recommend working with this team to plan a private event, reception, or gathering.
This team genuinely wants to see your events come to life and be successful! I will defnitely be working with them again in the future.
The moment I stepped into the restaurant I forgot I was on eastern ave and was transported to somewhere in the middle of the Aegean. The experience kept on getting better and better after the food, drinks, and dessert. I highly recommend this place! What a wonderful experience!

My nonprofit held its annual meeting at Estiatorio Plako, and everybody absolutely loved it. The communications in advance were excellent; the place is beautiful; the food was delicious; the staff was friendly & efficient; the service was top of the line.
They were not only gracious about our taking leftovers (food waste is a sin!), they even prepared take-home containers, which was totally unexpected. Everyone was professional & gracious, and really made us feel welcome.
Other Board members were already familiar with EP, and were delighted that we had booked there. I'm looking forward to my next visit!!
