I’ve visited Estiatorio Plaka several times and still occasionally return for the food, the atmosphere, and the dedication of the in-house staff. Philip, Anna, Ashley, April, and Xariklia have consistently delivered strong service. That said, my issue lies with their external social media management and not the restaurant team.
With a background in webmastering and investigative journalism, I offered sharp public feedback on their digital presence, pointing out over-tagging, visibility issues, and missed opportunities with audience targeting. I also brought forward potential hotel partnerships and promotional strategies that management initially showed interest in.
I later discovered I had been blocked by their social media team, only after trying to tag the restaurant while taking photos with friends. That’s how I learned they had cut off engagement, without notice or explanation. That kind of response doesn’t reflect well on a business that wants to grow or engage with its audience. It reads more like image control than leadership, and comes across as selectively biased, thin-skinned toward constructive criticism, and ultimately unprofessional.
I'll continue to support the restaurant periodically but I believe any public facing business should operate with professionalism and consistency, both on the plate and online. No need for apologies, and no need to reverse course. It’s too late. Their digital conduct already made the statement for them.
Hopefully, leadership will align their digital decisions with the quality their kitchen and floor staff already deliver.

Anna A is probably the best server I’ve ever had, so sweet, kind, and energetic! The food was incredible too. I liked the coffee bar a lot too and the atmosphere is so great!

Wow, I used to love you guys... But once I found out you guys hired someone that distributed child pron, that love immediately stopped. Oh, and I forgot to mention... He distributed THOUSANDS!! THOUSANDS of photos and videos of prepubescent children and toddlers. I'm all for hiring felons, but not when those felons endanger children. The name of the employee is Charles Pijanowski. I might come back, but only after you fire the pred.

This is a hidden gem that I would love to have stay hidden, but can’t help but write a rave review for—Best food my husband and I have had in a long time! Brings the charm to Charm City! We have tried other Greek places in Baltimore, but nothing as authentic as Estiatorio. We had a fresh, healthy, and overall fantastic brunch. I never thought I would like beets, but they somehow made a beet salad taste phenomenal. Flavors are simple, but thoughtfully combined. Greek pancakes taste nostalgic, like something your grandmother would make for you with a warm cup of tea. Must have. Shout out to our effortlessly awesome and gracious server, April!! We will be back for lunch and dinner very soon!!! Thank you so much!! 1000/10 for quality, price, ambience, food, and service!!
