I wanted to celebrate my Birthday here. We made reservations for 7:00, but we asked could we be seated early since we got there early to walk around the Casino to see what was in there since it was our first time there, it wasn't much to see in the Casino. So they were able to seat us early. The Restaurant had a nice warm cozy feel. Our Server Miles was Friendly and explained the Menu and Special since it was our first time there. We ordered a number of items ( see pics). We were surprised at how small the portion sizes were. The MD Crab Soup hardly had anything in it, mainly Corn, Tomatoes and only 3 Lumps of Crabmeat. It was tasty but I was disappointed, I was expecting more especially for the price of $15. I got the Kansas City Strip Steak and the Hubby got the Ribeye, we both ordered the Medium, but after taking a couple of bites we saw that they were Rare. We informed our Server Miles and he saw them and agreed that they were Rare. He asked did we want to send them back so they can Bump up the heat on them? We said no we will just recook them at Home. We were surprised that he didn't offer to bring us out a new Steak, especially for the Price we paid for both Steaks which was $80 a piece. You would think that for that price they would be cooked perfectly, they did taste delicious. The Manager did come over and offered his apologies and did not charge me for my Dessert which was the Sticky Pudding. Everything else was good. I had a nice time, but was expecting more. All the Staff was nice.

I am a HUGE fan of Chef Gordon Ramsay and have dined at several of his Hell's Kitchen Restaurants over the years, all with an amazing experience all the way around. I find it difficult to write this review because everything from the service to the food at Gordon Ramsay Steak (Horseshoe) was sub par at the best.My wife and I went there this past weekend for a date night (first night without our son in quite awhile). We were greeted upon arrival and immediately seated. The hostess was extremely polite and personable!Once we were seated we had to wait roughly 10-15 minutes for our "fresh baked bread". During that time waiting we were greeted by our server. He was very nice and asked if we would like any drinks while we waited for the "fresh baked bread". I asked for a wine menu, as i wanted to order a bottle or two of wine for the night. When we finally got our two small little rolls they were cold (almost frozen) in the middle. Not sure how fresh baked bread comes out still frozen in the middle!?!? But you know what it was bread and that was not going to ruin my experience at my favorite Chef's restaurant.I am no fancy wine aficionado but I do understand the basics. Upon ordering a bottle of wine. I had to go through five (5) different selections before the waiter was able to bring me the correct wine with the same year they have marked on the wine list. Several bottles were marketed as 2016s yet the restaurant only carried 2023 bottles (for the same price). This was frustrating but again was not going to let wine ruin the meal.My wife and I shared the "famous" butternut squash risotto as our appetizer. She ordered the salmon and I ordered the beef wellington. Risotto came out and I couldn't help but laugh out loud. There might have been 4-5 micro-diced itty bitty pieces of butternut squash for a combined, maybe, 5 spoonful's of risotto total for us to share (picture attached). The beef wellington was cooked perfectly but some how cold from the inside all the way to pastry. I'm extremely perplexed on how that is possible. It was served over maybe one spoonful of mashed potatoes with ONE slice of carrot cut in half. I literally mean a single slice of a carrot cut in half. The website shows whole roasted carrots not a single bite of a slice of carrot. The salmon was roughly 1" wide by 6" long, cooked correctly yes but a fraction of a small portion.Total bill was $300 some with tip and I have had better meals at Applebee's in my 20s. I have no problem spending good money on good food and service but this is over the top expensive for no reason other than the name posted on the door. If any of the food served to us would have been at the pass on Hells Kitchen, Gordon Ramsay would have thrown it across the room and kicked out the people in the kitchen!!!

Gordon Ramsay's Steak was way better than I was expecting. I tend to prefer steak cooked at home because I'm very partial to tasting char from a grill, but went here because my husband was eager to see how this spot was.The restaurant's entrance was confusingly behind the casino security check, but after a moment of fumbling to find it, the hosts were very welcoming. The restaurant (which is huge) was pretty empty for a Friday evening. While ordering, it was interesting to note that they were out of various options. We opted out of the pre-fixe menu due to the size of the steaks + my interest in trying the Kansas City (essentially a bone-in NY) strip. My husband got the ribeye. We split creamed spinach and the baked potato sides as well as the toffee pudding dessert. The ribeye was definitely better than the KC strip since the latter was thinner/not as med-rare as I would have wanted, but both HAD THE CHAR. ??? Our server was kind enough to bring us a small portion of the coarse salt they serve on the butter so we could individually season bites of steak (which was needed, but not a big deal to us since we often need to do the same for thick cuts even when we dry brine them at home), so we were happy as clams. The baked potato and creamed spinach were both huge portions + tasted great. The toffee pudding was a big surprise on top of everything else bc the cake was so light, but packed with flavour. I don't have a sweet tooth personally, but I guess I do for the brown sugar toffee sauce on this dish. I was going ham on it. ?‍♀️ The only downside to everything was the ice cream that left a heavy, filmy coating to our mouths. Guessing that they make it with heavy cream? Wasn't to either of our preference, but the cake was fantastic enough that I'd def order this again + just ask them to leave the slice of ice cream off it.On top of it all, we took half of everything (save the cake) home as leftovers + had just enough steak for us to enjoy with eggs/fixings the next TWO DAYS. ?While I wouldn't compare this restaurant to anything Michelin due to the lack of creativity/uniqueness to the dishes.... That's not the point here! ?‍♀️ It's a steak house. ??? They buy good quality beef + handle it (and the veg sides) well enough to have left us happy.?/? will come back to GR's Steak, esp on a Friday so we can have Sat/Sunday steak breakfasts again. ???

Absolutely one of the best dining experiences. From the moment we got to the reservation desk to the time we were seated all the way until walking about back past that reservation desk - we had exceptional customer service. One of the most delicious steaks I have ever had. Had a great bottle of wine, also. Highly recommend.

This is an all-around place to have a nice romantic or family and friends dinner for fine dining. Located on the 1st floor of the famous Horseshoe Casino, located there, you will find the Famous Gordan Ramsay Steak restaurant. It nice cozy environment is low-key with a modern upscale look. You can start the evening or night with any drink of your choice. It's always a great idea to try its signature cocktail as it will unwhine you for your experience. Since there are different ways in which the menu is advertised, I can tell you nothing you try will disappoint you.We started with appetizers Maryland crab ? cake deliciously placed together broil to perfection with aside of Asian salad ? & the smoke beef tartar. Our first choice or course included a Maryland crab ? soup & a market green salad which was very delicious made, a must try.We later dive into our main choice of meal, which we got the 16oz New York Strip steak and the Roast beef Wellington. Steak was very tender, ordered it medium well our main course comes with 3 sides, signature Mac & Cheese, Mash potatoes ? and creamy spinach. Excellent! Everything was delicious.Lastly we ended the night with a really tasted dessert, called a sticky toffee pudding of my this was delicious, its sweet pudding cake brown sugar toffee with a brown butter ice cream. Surely was worth the bucks hope you can get to this amazing place soon!Parking: You can park in the free garage and take the elevator to the first floor to head to restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes

Rated 3 out of 5 starsFeb 17, 2024MealWas there last night and got the valentine dinner for $ 150 . ( before tip)Service was super but the 12oz prime rib was 1/3 fat . Yes I know prime rib can be fatty .Certainly the cook could have seen the amount of the fat on the piece of meat .Date of experience: February 16, 2024

Unfortunately, the kitchen had a ROUGH night on entrees and sides. The appetizers were excellent though and the service was superb. Our waitress Laurie (possibly Lauren, apologies!) was fantastic. She was attentive and proactive at all times. The entrees are the reason for the low grade here. I ordered the beef wellington which came WELL done. The waitress noticed and attempted to rectify it, but had to come out and say that NONE of the wellingtons were up to standards that night. She offered a filet as a substitute, which was ok with me and I asked for medium rare. The filet was delivered by the chef only to be raw in the middle. My wife ordered the chicken breast which was tasty, but super dry. We tried the mac & cheese, but was very sour and the truffle fries came out cold. The manager, Brent was apologetic and took care of us without an issue. Would I go back? Probably not, but its certainly not because of the staff.

The restaurant staff were all very welcoming and the wait service was impeccable. We really enjoyed the dry-aged beef (filet and rib-eye), which were seasoned and cooked perfectly, and the salmon. Save room for the sticky toffee pudding - it is amazing!

Another amazing meal at Gordon Ramsey Steak. The food was perfectly prepared. The signature beef wellington is every bit as good as the hype. Our server was helpful in selecting wine and sides. I plan to celebrate many more birthdays here. My compliments to the chefs and to management.

This was my first time dining at a Ramsay restaurant, my dad was in the hospital at UMMC some family members wanted to grab some dinner on a Fri evening at the casino and we decided on Ramsays and made reservations online. When we arrived it wasn't very busy we really didn't need reservations, we approached the host stand and mentioned our reservation walking to our seats we passed the bar area it was a little dark could have used a little bit more lighting especially at the bar. Our server approached and asked if we have eaten there before after hearing we hadn't he explained the menu to us. My aunt and I order alcohol she had red wine and I had an old fashioned, when the server came back with our drinks I was completely shocked when he put my drink down. I specifically said NO water I understand that a REAL Old Fashion is just a shot of alcohol that the cup will not be full, when he put the drink down it was full of crushed ice and the bourbon was to the top of the glass. We aren't at a dive bar the prices on the menu are not cheap and my old fashion is ruined, this restaurant should have large ice cube for bourbon drinks. I tasted it and said I asked for no water this drink is half full of water and asked for a large ice cube. If the bar tender doesn't know how to make drinks they need a new one, he returned with my drink alls they did was strain out the ice and put a cube of ice in the cup. Why wasn't the cube used the first time?? And the bourbon was still watered down, wasted that drink. My mom and I had the Beef Wellington and my aunt and cousin had the sea bass and we shared the cream spinach. Both steaks were very good maybe just a little more of the mashed potatoes and the Demi sauce would have been nice. Both sea bass meals were excellent I tastes a bite from my cousin and it was outstanding cooked perfectly, the fish came with parsnips and quinoa could have used a little more parsnips. Over all very good food my old fashion was ruined that and the lack of potatoes and parsnips is the reason for 4 stars .

My wife and I were really looking forward to return to Ramsay Steak house as our first experience was amazing. However, this trip was no where near that. Service was SLOW, so very slow and the food was bland, I want to ask the server if they needed the salt and pepper from our table as there clearly was none in the kitchen. Dinner for two at $251 dollars, I don't have a single problem with it if the service is on par and the food is good. We drove and hour and a half from Northern Virginia for a complete let down and I don't know that we will be back.

From the moment we walked up to the reservation counter we had an experience that exceeded our expectations. Our waiter (along with other staff) were to tentative and provided excellent customer service. The food was outstanding, the drinks were delicious and the environment was beautiful. We haven't stopped telling everyone about our experience! Highly recommend!
