Been here twice since I moved to the neighborhood. Good bagels and coffee. Staff is always nice.

Soft and light crispy bagel with an almost sweet taste plus cream cheese was so good I wish I got two! I will come back.

Greg's Bagels..............1) What Greg calls bagels are actually rolls with a hole in the middle. I purchased several kinds of bagels there and they all tasted like a roll and had the consistency of a role. I am not a newcomer to bagels, btw. 2) No masks were worn by any workers in this restaurant. None. I know that masks are not mandated, but certainly the owner / manager/ boss realize the importance of the entire staff of a restaurant wearing masks, from the cashier to the prep staff whose faces are about 10" from the food they are preparing. Note that the staff of every food stand in the Belvedere indoor market, a few doors down from Greg's, were wearing masks.

I haven't sampled any of Greg's menu but just wanted to say that the Everything bagel is different but I'm not a fan of the cumin and the spicyness on it. You should maybe warn people of that if they don't like spicy.

The bagels are softer than what I am used to, but were quite delicious and the service was quick & courteous. Very eager to return soon.

Who puts fennel seeds on an everything bagel? Very disappointed with the quality blandness, and texture of the bagels we purchased. This was our first and last time buying bagels here.

The bagels and salmon here are very tasty and fresh. Ordered the Royal Scottish on an everything bagel with the works (cream cheese, capers, sprouts, onions, tomatoes, and cucumbers). Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great bagel spot.

I have eaten here before and the bagels were good, and it has an evident following. Today the young male working the counter informed me “they are out of chai tea”. There were only a few other customers in the restaurant at this point, so it wasn’t like they were inundated with orders. My order was announced along with someone else’s so I got up from where I was sitting and watched him hand the bag to another customer. Then I said “Wait, where is mine? I had the Indian chicken sandwich” so he went and took her bag and pulled out one sandwich, and it turned out he retrieved the wrong on because the lady said, “This isn’t my sandwich.” So he gave her back the other one and plopped the one she had already opened and touched on the food prep counter while he went to start remaking my sandwich. I told him he had better remake it because that isn’t sanitary. I started to watch to make sure he didn’t foul up the new sandwich or just put the old one in another bag. However, I started to think about what food safety standards they may lack of this is the lax behavior of the people they hire to assist them. So, I asked for my money back. I used to like this place, but now I have no interest in returning there.Response to owner's response: Whatever the mix-up was on the sandwich, (and particularly in the age of COVID) a food item touched by a customer (and in this case she had opened it and realized it wasn't hers, and was "within spitting distance") is supposed to be immediately discarded, not brought back behind the counter and set atop what should be a sanitized area for food preparation. By the way, the person you are responding to has restaurant and resort experience, and was formerly certified as a food safety manager and used to work for a company that specialized in food-safety training for restaurant workers. I noticed how conveniently you focused on the sandwich mix-up and attempted to sidestep my second complaint.

This place is old school baltimore, but the new staff of 14 year old boys who run the place must not know proper porportions. I ordered a cream cheese lox bagel (a classic) and there was barely any cream cheese on it.. like any at all, and the i add more capers and onions when i got home. I've had greg's before and it was great!! but the past few times i've been there i've been super disappointed.

Ordered two bagels with lox and cream cheese and two small cups of coffee. $22, ok. Coffee was ready immediately, waited a few minutes for bagels. Received one bagel. Asked for the second bagel, "we're working on it" was the reply from the owner. 30 minutes later a second bagel was ready after another reminder that we were waiting. The owner did the "if I don't look at you, you aren't there" routine and then left the shop. One of the workers apologized and a second worker gave us a few free bagels and an apology. We aren't regulars, just went there for old times sake, but won't be going back. What a shame.

It's a different bagel! I wish I took a picture of the sign up that explains what makes Greg's bagels different, but now that I've eaten one I can see what they mean. It's a good looking bagel, takes to a toast well with a light crisp on the outside, slight malty flavor, not as stretchy/chewy as your typical bagel-but good! I got a sesame bagel with walnut-raisin cream cheese and a large coffee. Brew was good. I think the cream cheese was sweetened besides just the raisins. I'm the the type who likes less-sweet things, so I think I'd try to go half-and-half on this if I could next time. I do love almond paste, never thought to have it as a bagel topping before! This is definitely a different bagel. It's worth going out of your way to try, especially if you haven't really liked bagels before. If you do like a classic bagel, it's still worth a try too, but just be prepared for a different experience. The fact that the bagels are less chewy is probably great for people with dental issues, but my youthful chompers enjoyed it as well.
