This is our favorite restaurant in all of Baltimore. We love the staff, the space and the vibe and the food is always phenomenal. Run don’t walk to eat here.

I’ve had Heritage Smokehouse two times in the last two years. The service is always very good as staff has always been pleasant and helpful. The place has been very clean both times. The wings and sausages are good. The catfish is fried well. I also really like their dark spicy mustard and pickles.
I have had their brisket twice. The second time I ordered it I requested that it be less moist since I recall it was very moist the first time around. Both times the cuts were extremely fatty making it difficult to eat. The flavor was good, but the fat was a bit much for my liking. I don’t think I would get it again as I have had brisket that isn’t as fatty. I have had their ribs once and found the flavor to be good but fatty as well. The mushroom gravy and rice had a lot of thyme in it, but with less thyme and a few other tweaks, could be good. The mac and cheese is tasty.
I can see myself returning, but sticking to specific menu items. Great service!

So much meat! It is lovely we'll made food. Great coleslaw! It was so nice to go to a restaurant where there were no televisions. No sports ball shows...no televisions...just fall off the bone, perfectly seasoned beef or pork or chicken. No pandering to other diets, this place serves meat and if you don't eat meat, eat across the street at the place that serves vegetables. This is a place for great ribs, brisket, burgers, or barbecue.

I've been putting off my visit to Heritage Smokehouse for quite some time. So, I finally made my way down there and it was a delicious experience. Not to mention I thoroughly enjoyed the 60s - 70s theme and decor of the restaurant.
My friend and I showed up at Heritage during their happy hour and was able to have a couple drinks off the menu for just $7. Heritage offers traditional cocktails such as a daiquiri, margarita, mojito, old fashion, and a caipirinha. There were also some beer selections on the happy hour menu. The bartender was nice and provided good service throughout our visit.
There were a few options on their food menu I wanted to try like the fried catfish with hush puppies and the brisket tacos, but I decided to go with straight BBQ for my first visit. I settled on the 1/4 rack ribs platter with mac & cheese, braised green beans, and I ordered an additional side of their beans. The platters arrived and I enjoyed every bite. The ribs were perfectly tender, seasoned, and fall off the bone. The mac & cheese was quite delicious, which I will say I was shocked about. And the green beans were braised to perfection. I really liked the beans which were not your traditional sweet BBQ beans, however, I would've really loved them over top of some rice.
Heritage Smokehouse lived up to my expectation and I'm already looking forward to popping in to try the fried catfish

Worth the visit, 10/10 experience. The staff were very nice and welcoming. The food was amazing as well. We got the brisket, catfish, ribs, & buffalo wings. Everything was cooked to perfection and seasoned well with a lot of flavor.
Will for sure be back to visit.

Food was unbelievable. There was homemade Country Ham which was sublime. They ran out of homemade summer peach pie just before I ordered. Great place to eat but just as fine to have a drink and catch a game. Bar is fully stocked
