Rice was crunchy. 7 little pieces of salmon for my single $17 protein poke bowl. Along with a 1/4 avocado which I paid extra for. The toppings suck with a very small selection. Basically a bowl of saucy crunchy rice.

We have come for years at Hilo at the R House. It is a lively place. We always order the rainbow bowl and it is delicious and worth $20. I am not sure about the customer who complained about little fish in his bowl?? I gave it a 4 star rather than 5 (that they really deserve) because they wanted to charge us $1 for an additional sauce. That’s unacceptable!

The guy working there is very rude. I asked him if they had nigiri because I didn't see it on the menu but saw it on yelp, and he made an annoyed face and said no like I was asking for a burger at a sushi place... Turns out they do - for $6 for two pieces. When my order was out, he didn't even call the number so the sushi just sat there. When I finally ate them it was warm. Gross. I was literally the only customer there. I'll never understand owners who are so unhappy and reluctant to sell their food and yet expects tip - especially at a food court. Clearly no Aloha spirit at this poke place.

We ordered for delivery and were disappointed with what we received. The rolls we ordered were good but the Hawaiian bowl was a disappointment and missing items in it. May try again but only if dine in.

Am I willing to pay $20 for a bowl of poke at a vibrant foodie market in a hip neighborhood? Of course I am. Happy to. But what I expect to receive is a decent, maybe even great, poke bowl. This place really let me down. Everyone at my table laughed when I showed them how little fish was in my bowl. (A $5 H-Mart sushi box has six-times the protein than the bowl I paid for.) I also told them specifically *no onions.* I love onions, but I can't eat them right now because of a gnarly medical diagnosis. Were there onions? You bet your a-- there were! As much as the fish. There are soo many positive food stories at the R. House. Hilo isn't one of them.

Delicious!!! My sushi burrito fell apart on me but they very kindly included a fork. Staff were kind and fast. The food very good. I would definitely go back.

Disappointed. Ordered 2 Hilo poke bowls and they forgot asparagus, avocado, ikura and furikake on both of our bowls. Barely any salmon or shrimp. Definitely not worth $15.

OMG Get the Baltimore Tempura Maki Roll. Is it authentically Japanese? Probably not- in fact, it's ginormous, saucy, and tastes like the whole sushi roll was deep fried in tempura batter. But man was it good. I would go back just for that roll. It's in R-House.

Ordered a poke bowl and was super disappointed. The portion was very small compared to other poke bowls I’ve gotten and the rice was bad. It was pretty pricey too :/

This is a review for their spicy tuna roll. It had too much sauce slathered on top, and the fish itself wasn't very flavorful or fresh tasting. Same for the rice. I haven't had their poke bowls, though, so maybe they're better.

My experience was great here. I wanted a spicy version of a roll and the young lady asked if I wanted her to spicy it up. Of course I said Yes, Please! The food was delicious and fresh!Kid-friendliness: There was a little table and chairs for kids to sit.

Slapdash poke bowl with unevenly and awkwardly sliced ingredients. I've had better from the Wegmans in Hunt Valley.
