Best samosas ever! We love their Chana masala and so many other dishes. Try everything! Get the traditional Nepalese dishes too especially the ones with potatoes (aloo).

If u have never tried momo, ORDER IT! It is a delicious dumpling with sauce. I love the vegetable momo but the chicken momo (most popular) or lamb momo are all very good too

If you’re searching for a culinary experience that blends the rich, bold flavors of Indian cuisine with the subtle, aromatic tastes of Nepalese dishes, Himalayan House in Baltimore is a must-visit. This restaurant stands out as a haven for those who appreciate authentic, hearty, and beautifully spiced meals.

1. Food Quality and Flavor

The food at Himalayan House is exceptional. The menu offers a wide range of dishes, from Indian staples like Butter Chicken and Lamb Rogan Josh to Nepalese specialties like Momos (dumplings) and Goat Curry.

The Chicken Tikka Masala is creamy, perfectly spiced, and full of flavor, while the Palak Paneer strikes the right balance of creamy spinach and tender paneer cubes. Their Tandoori Chicken arrives sizzling hot and is wonderfully tender with a smoky, charred flavor.

The Nepalese Momos are a must-try—they’re steamed to perfection and served with a spicy tomato-based dipping sauce that’s bursting with flavor. For curry lovers, the Goat Curry is tender, rich, and deeply satisfying, showcasing the unique spices and cooking techniques of Nepalese cuisine.

2. Service

The service at Himalayan House is warm and attentive. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure diners feel welcome and comfortable, often explaining dishes and making thoughtful recommendations

Really enjoyed having dinner here. The samosas were tasty and not dry at all. The garlic’s naan was great too. The star of the show was their chicken tikka masala ?

This is an excellent hidden gem of a restaurant. Incredibly fresh food prepared authentically ~ we were surprised and delighted by our wonderful dinner! The decor is very sweet, but unassuming, but don’t be deceived by the simplicity ~ great meal.

Said they have a buffet on the phone but they only have lunch specials. Maybe one day I'll try but it won't be when I'm walking there with buffet on my mind!

My man took me here far an early evening date and boy-oh-boy was it good. He ordered the Nepalese chicken-7 on the spicy scale- was pleased, and ready to up his fire game to an 8 next time. The naan was cooked and buttered perfectly. Best vegetable korma sauce I've had- perfect balance of tomato and creamy. A bit pricey for some entrees. Excellent service. Delicious!

I just had the best meal at this Nepali restaurant! The momo was super juicy, and the garlic naan was awesome, especially when dipping it in the chicken tikka masala’s sauce. The chicken biryani was packed with flavor, and the spices were spot on. You can tell it’s a family-owned spot because everything feels homemade with a lot of care. Definitely a must-try if you’re in the area!
