Still continuing the hunt for the best burger in Baltimore. Jbgb's got our attention.I got the cheese burger, side of fries and a mocktail. The buns of the burger were sturdy. The cheese, melted beautifully. My problem was that there wasn't any onion, tomato, possibly a different pickle to cut through and add sharpness to the burger. Everything tasted the same. The French fries were fried perfectly. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Evenly salted and peppered.Shout-out Tom for holding us down

The first time I ate here the burger was good and the pizza was amazing. The second time not so much. The burger was burnt and the pepperoni pizza had a totally different flavor. It went from being one of the best tasting pizzas I've ever had to tasting like a pizza from the average Baltimore carry out. The drinks are good but the quality and taste of the food is inconsistent. Not sure if I'll be back.

On an overnight trip to Baltimore from D.C., the hotel (good neighbor) I stayed at recommended JBGB's as a good lunch/dinner spot. Naturally, I went and it did not disappoint. Here's my experience.1) Food: The lunch menu is written on a parchment paper at the counter. You can't go wrong, but people often order the cheeseburger or the Italian Beef, which is what I got. It comes with amazingly spiced beef and cheese. The half is more than enough for lunch and costs $15.2) Drinks: They have a fridge full of craft soda, water, beer, and Fanta.3) Service: It's friendly and helpful. Stopping in for lunch, I was able to eat inside in their dining space.4) Space: It's beautifully designed with shelves of products for sale. There's outdoor and indoor seating.5) Area: There's easy street parking nearby and other local businesses in a true neighborhood.

Dining room kind of sucks--ugly with mall cafeteria vibes. Eat outside or by the public fire pit--both are way prettier. Food is great and reliably hits the spot. Drinks can be dank (just had an absinthe and mezcal treat the other day) or weird (mustard flavored). Wine menu is always surprisingly good and the bottle selection at the butcher is always decent.Service is always kind, chill, and thoughtful. The Butcher side of the building is discreet from the restaurant, but it's linked, and it's confusing sometimes what is going on---regardless, holy shoot it is amazing.

We had no trouble getting a table at 6pm on a rainy Saturday evening. We also had an easy time securing street parking. Our server grabbed our drink order as soon as we took our seats.I’d highly recommend trying the garlic bread as an appetizer. One guest at our table exclaimed that JBGB’s garlic bread was “the best he ever had!”We ordered the reuben pizza, along with the bacon, egg, and cheese pizza, as our entrees. The reuben pizza arrived to our table slathered with Dijon mustard, rendering it barely palatable. The bacon, egg, and cheese pizza was greasy, but delicious. We asked for extra cheese on our pizzas. That request was either ignored or lost in translation. The pizzas arrived to our table steaming hot about five minutes apart (a good thing). The pizzas had a rather thin crust with a light, airy, flavorful dough. The outside edge of both pizzas were lightly burned. We probably won’t come back here again for the pizzas. I’d still recommend trying this place once for unique takes on pizza that you won’t find anywhere else. Also, come here if you are seeking a unique culinary adventure (who else has steak tartare on the menu)?

Made a reservation, so was seated right away. Order taking and delivery of food was slow but worth the wait. The food was yummy! We got the cheeseburger and breakfast pizza. We are definitely coming back to try other items. Dessert was good, French press coffee excellent!

Let me preface with I LOVEEEEE John Brown Butchery -- and their coffee is DIVINE. I was so excited to eat here. The staff at the butchery are always SO helpful and just SO nice. I go every Sunday.Perhaps it was my recent read of "Unreasonable Hospitality" that my level of service expectation has gone beyond the bounds of what to expect at a regular restaurant, but I was extremely disappointed in the absolutely minimal service from our waitress. She barely checked on our table. I had one sip of my drink and she not once noticed that I really didn't like it or even asked me how the drink was - after I expressed my concerns with it containing absinthe in the first place. We ordered the garlic bread (DELICIOUS) and then each had a burger. I also ordered the mezcal drink ( I can't remember what it was called). The burger was okay, nothing to write home about. If they use the same meat as they do in the butchery, then my home-made burgers using the same meat are way better. Maybe I'm just used to grilled burgers and not charbroiled -- either way, nothing exciting. My boyfriend really enjoyed the fries he got on the side and I loved my side salad - it was dressed in something magical and the flavor was well balanced. The drink was not it. I think perhaps it was the addition of absinthe to the drink but to me it had a very strong taste of licorice and all of the smokiness that I love from mezcal was completely gone. Not once was I asked how I liked the drink. In fact, not once did she check on our table.Dear JBGB - I love you guys too much and you guys are too amazing at the store to have such a disparity in service at the restaurant. Please please please do better in training your staff to your expectations.

The food is just okay. Pizza dough and topping are both undersalted, which is a shame because the texture is nice and the toppings sounded very interesting, unfortunately with so little salt it didn't have much taste.Crostone was listed on the menu as having castelvetrano olives. It showed up with black olives. We don't require castelvetrano olives by any means, but why lie about it on the menu? It was also served on sliced bread that hadn't been toasted or grilled, which would have added some much needed texture. Our server was great, as were the other staff we interacted with so no complaints there.Lastly, it was uncomfortably warm inside the restaurant.

Excellent Mocktails and drink list. Great service. But the food was underwhelming and it wasn’t a super comfortable place.

I think what I got was a Kimchi pizza and my boyfriend got something with pork. Said it was good but mine was pretty tasty too. We sat outdoors, ate and enjoyed the vibes. Our server was so nice

This place has so much to offer. Definitely too 3 best places for pizza in Bmore. The brick oven only allows for 3 pizzas at a time and the chefs have absolutely mastered the art. I’ve gone back for the kimichi pizza every week going on a month now.
