Was in the mood for a club sandwich and hadn't been there for a while. Sandwich was good, had lots of filling, could have used more mayo. Fries were nice and crispy and had pepper on them, which was different.
ate here last week with a larger group, i had never been before and the food was surprisingly excellent. the fried stuff (pickles, shrimp) was all perfectly crispy and delicious, and the dipping sauce was pretty good. and we also had steamed shrimp, 2 cheesesteaks, and a bowl of half&half crab soup. the shrimp and cheesesteaks were fantastic. the soup was a bit more watery than i like, the flavor was okay. i wouldn’t order it again, there’s other places i like better....
Excellent hamburger steak, has grilled onions, mushrooms, and gravy. They recommended the mash potatoes & gravy, and it was great, still a little chunky. Most of the time, the gravy is salty, but this was perfect. The pickled beets were really good, makes me feel like I was eating a little healthy, wink wink. The waitress was great, and it like a dive bar, which usually has great food, and this was awesome.
