Solid spot. We stop here for breakfast sandwiches on our way out for a hike. Great prices (especially for 2025), food fills you up. Overall no complaints- it’s great to see a place still like this on the east side of the city

Same as it ever was Chicken Parm for the win :)

The food here is so good. I pretty much tried the entire menu, and it is all good. The best hangover food money can buy too. My only complaint is that everyone there is so grumpy. I don’t get it, it is like they hate the customers. Customers are the enemy apparently in there. Quite funny actually but either way grumpy or not, I will be back!

I order from here quite often, and they never skip a beat. Excellent service and quality food! Highly recommend.

Top 3 cheesesteak spot in Baltimore. Good old fashioned sub joint.

This is a hidden gem in Canton. I always see the line out the door for CDL and I just wonder…do these people not know they can have a full, delicious, homemade breakfast right across the street at John’s!?!? Fools!! The John’s team always takes great care of us and my two teenage sons LOVE eating here!! We can watch the Ravens game or basketball in their dining room and eat ANYTHING your heart desires…pancakes all day, breakfast sandwiches, coffee made to order, eggs, omelettes, chicken parm, soup, pizza, seafood, cheesesteak….you name it, they’ll make it hot and fresh right in front of you. Stop waiting hungry in line for hours at CDL when you can just walk across the street and have the most incredible hot breakfast, or really anything you can dream up! This particular visit, my boys ordered chocolate chip pancakes with a side of…FRENCH FRIES!! And it was perfect.

Great breakfast good in an old-school diner! Not the greatest decor, but that's not necessary. The hipster café down the block had a line out the door and around the corner, but this place was mostly empty, and food was super fast. Will definitely be back.

Elite-tier low key breakfast spot. Breakfast meals are typical diner fare options done very well with great portions for great prices. Deli sandwiches and clubs are excellent as well. Also one of the only places are pubs that has fried clam strip baskets! When there are weekend lines at other places in town, you should absolutely come to John’s. Better food for less honestly!

Was charged $8.11 for a 3 egg and cheese with NO meat breakfast sandwich. That’s ridiculous. Never going back.
