Came in and the place was super dark and felt really old. Tables and chairs looked like they hadn’t been updated in decades. What bothered me most was the smoke—there’s barely any ventilation, and it honestly felt hard to breathe at times.

Food-wise, the sundubu was alright, nothing special. But the marinated galbi? Total letdown. It looked like dog food and was so tough I could barely chew it. Tasted like they cooked frozen meat straight out of the freezer with the thawed water rubbery and just… off.

I told the server, and she took it back, only to bring it right back and say it was “perfectly cooked.” You can decide for yourself (check the photo). Btw this was $38…

Yeah, definitely not coming back.

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday because Korean bbq is his favorite…the food was AMAZING but unfortunately as I was getting my card I saw something from the corner of my eye run across the floor…when I told the staff I saw a mouse under the table in the corner they just looked stupid and didn’t say anything??? For $110 I expect WAY MORE. Though the food was great I left feeling sick to my stomach. Also, they need to renovate, old tables and chairs, dirty walls, the ceiling looks like it’s about to fall and has mold…oh and mice…such a shame !!!!!!!

I was looking for restaurants near MICA and this One showed up among the many choices. I clicked on them and checked out their website photos and other reviews. I was impressed so we decided to visit. What a fantastic experience. The kindness of the staff to the excellent meats. Everything was a success.

VERY good food. Eating here was my first time eating Korean barbecue and it did not disappoint. It was so good that I came again 2 weeks later. For a table of 3, the half plate was more than enough. The restaurant is smoky in the barbecue area which is to be expected and a bit chilly so bring a sweater.

I had the dumpling soup. And oh wow! It was delicious. The store is run by a very young team who are very attentive and kind. They also shared some interesting things about food in Korea. I tried some of the bbq my friends had, and it was delicious and fresh meat. Highly recommend this place. Also they have a parking lot!

If you're looking for an authentic Korean food.. this is the place...served by real Korean people.. I've been to other Korean restaurants, but the side dishes in this place are tastier and fresher...
When we first got in the place, I didn't like it right away because of a certain smell... but the food made up for it... we like everything we ate (choice#1 of their barbecue)... and oh... they used live coals in cooking...
After we were full, they served us complimentary probiotic drinks, which i know is a Korean way after a hearty meal, and they're the only Korean restaurant I've been to that did that

This place use to be better. Its the only kbbq spot in maryland that uses real charcoal/wood for the grilling. Meats were good and banchan variety was excellent, however service has gone downhill the past year.

I normally order from Kong (Pocha) but they are closed today so I thought I would give this place a try. I just wasted 50 dollars on food. Threw everything away. The fried chicken was soggy, greasy and off tasting. The chicken tasted the opposite of fresh , it tasted almost gamey. Took two bites and spit it out. It was also not crispy at all just soggy. Kong is 100% a better restaurant option than this place. Will not be ordering food from Jong Kak again.
