I grew up in Chicago and feasted on wonderful Chicago style hotdogs since I was young starting in the early 1950's. I got excited when I recently saw a Facebook ad for Killa Dogz saying they serve Chicago style hotdogs. I went there today and there is nothing about their hotdog that would qualify as Chicago style. On Chicago dog uses a sub roll as a bun. The pickle should be a spear, not thin round slices having almost no flavor. The peppers were also not the right ones....
After a few years of waiting, Killa Dogz finally opened in Middle River.
I was very excited to try the place as I love to try new places.
We had a party of seven tonight and we are all impressed.
I recommend the cheesesteak. Those who ordered the funnel cake fries said they were really good. My grandmother had the chili cheese dog and she said it was really good.
We will all be back soon.
