I stumbled upon this place as an out-of-towner, and what a gem! The vibe was cozy and inviting and the employees treated patrons like family, greeting many by their first names. The chocolate yogurt bread was yummy and the espresso machiatto was the best cup I've ever had. Koba Cafe will now be a required stop each future visit I make to Baltimore!

I loved this place! A friend and I tried it for the first time and the everything was wonderful. The owner was kind and funny. Coffee was amazing and food was chef’s kiss! Prices were also VERY affordable, if I lived close by, this would he a regular stop. I noticed a lot of regulars came in and the workers knew them by name, speaks to their reputation.

Nice cozy spot with plenty of options. Owner was extremely friendly and had plenty of wisdom. We got the latte and cortado and both exceeded our expectations. 10/10 would come again.

Awesome neighborhood spot. Great food and coffee, very reasonable prices. Adam is very friendly and welcoming - community staple!
had a very nice conversation with the man behind the bar, who seemed genuinely interested in the well-being of a stranger. the bagel sandwhich I had was exceptional and for 5.50 I thought it was quite reasonably priced. The 2.80 cup of coffee was a steal! Went back today hoping for a repeat and was selfishly sad to see the place closed for the holiday, but consoled greatly at the thought of the staff spending the day relaxing with loved ones.

As a university student who was new to the Baltimore area last year, I decided to explore some dependable, affordable, and local cafes in the area—Koba Café is my wish materialised.
Food + menu: Satisfactory range of breakfast/ brunch-appropriate foods with 11 vegetarian options! An extensive range of bakery items and various hot and cold drinks too. Everything is highly affordable, fresh, tasty, and great portion sizes.
Atmosphere: Absolutely gorgeous interior. The ground level has seating for parties of two and typically remains uncrowded. The staircase leading to the second floor is accompanies by an array of artwork which is only the beginning of the homey-artistic feel curated on the second floor. The upstairs is typically populated by students or others working and can be crowded depending on the time of day (10 AM - 3 PM). As a result, it is treated like a quiet space so if you would like to chat you may feel more comfortable downstairs.
The cafe is at a 4-way crossing, and there tends to be free street parking available outside and on nearby streets.
I would highly recommend visiting this cafe!

☕ Koba Cafe: Cozy Vibes & Cookie Dreams 🍪
Koba Cafe is the kind of place that makes you want to cancel your plans and settle in with a good book and a warm mug. Tucked away like a secret you’re glad you discovered, it’s got that small, homey coffee shop charm that feels like a warm hug in beverage form.
The hot chocolate? Silky, rich, and basically dessert in a cup. The coffee? Smooth and satisfying — whether you’re a latte lover or a straight-up black coffee purist. But the real MVP? That gingerbread cookie. Soft, spiced, and absolutely magical when warmed up. (Pro tip: ask them to heat it — they’ll do it with a smile, and you’ll thank me later.)
Whether you’re catching up with a friend or just escaping the world for a bit, Koba Cafe is your cozy little hideaway. Don’t skip it. Don’t rush it. Just sip, snack, and soak in the comfort.

Seriously one of the best coffee shops I have been to and I am a huge coffee person who cares about the coffee and environment of the shop. I was greeted very nicely, I believe it might have been the owner of the shop, but he was super friendly, which goes a long way. The cappuccino I had was one of the best ones I have ever had. The espresso they use is amazing and he knew how to make it, not burnt with right amount of foam. The upstairs atmosphere is a wonderful place to study or get work done, which was the main reason I came. Also, the prices were the best I have seen in a long time, especially for the quality you are getting. I will definitely be coming back!!

Koba is a coffee shop which gives a great vibe as you go in. They have plenty of drink options and I greatly enjoyed my french press coffee. I have not tried any of the food but when talking about a coffee shop , coffee is number one to me! Hope to come back soon .
