The spot is small, dark, and very nice. Service was excellent. All the timing was perfect. That said, 4 of the 8 beer taps were broken. Our appetizer was adequate, a little disappointing. My steak was undercooked. I should have sent it back for additional time, so that's on me. The Payasito cocktail we ordered was gross, nearly undrinkable. Again, that's our fault. So I encourage you to ask the waitstaff a lot of questions about everything. Overall, we did not have a great experience, it was quite pricey, and it's unlikely we would return.

I enjoy going to a parilla every now and then, and I'm glad to have come across this one. We got a table outside on a decently cool night. We had the chorizo appetizer, gnocchi Santa Fe, and parillada x2 medium rare, volcano cake, and flan. The food and service were great. We will definitely be back!

This was our second time at Barrita, and this time we brought my 85-year-old mother and 6-year-old daughter. EVERYone had a wonderful dining experience. Gregorio, Tony, and Luis all took excellent care of us from the moment we darkened the threshold of the entrance till it was time for us to leave 2 hours later. For this meal, we opted for pasta instead of the grilled meats, and we were not disappointed. Every course was on point - empanadas and octopus salad for starters, gnocchi for the mains, and homemade lava cake and panne cotta for desserts. Except for yours truly, everyone walked out with a doggie bag, because the portions were generous without being over-the-top. Gregorio provided solid counsel for pairing our entrees, mains, and dessert, and his recommendations only enhanced the experience. In terms of atmosphere, it was during our first time there: cozy, familiar, and warm. We felt we were at a friend's for dinner. This is an unpretentious place that makes everyone feel special no matter the occasion. We'll be returning, whenever and as often as we can.

Small intimate location, service was excellent. The chorizo appetizer was good, drinks were great, and steaks were excellent. Temperature of some of the steaks was a bit over cooked, but it did not greatly detract from the experience and I would for sure recommend.

La Barrita is consistently great. Always one of our favorite family dining destinations. The food is top notch. Fresh veggies. Delicious and simply prepared meats. Creative homemade pastas. Imagine Argentina and Italy had a a steakhouse baby. Don’t sleep on the desserts especially the panqueques with caramel.

I'm of mixed opinions here. I had the ribeye and I thought that was a well done dish - 4.5 stars. I think the steak dishes in general are worth ordering by themselves.
Had the empanadas, which were a bit disappointing - 3 stars. And the flan was good without being memorable in any way - 3 stars.

Came here for a friend’s birthday and definitely didn’t disappoint. The food was amazing and the portions are huge. We split a platter meant for two between three people and still had leftovers. The service was fantastic. They even brought a crème brûlée style crepe for my friend! Highly recommend for a date night.
