We managed to get a last minute table on a Friday evening during a convention and were thrilled. We were asked if a high top was oaky and said yes which lead to the owner and chef Nino stopping by to ask us if we had any questions we spoke and he asked if we wanted him to cook for us as we were in his house we said yes to a 5 or 6 course dinner. He served each course and explained them to us and helped us select two bottles of wine which were very reasonable for the quality and in a restaurant. We started with an amazing appetizer of a shrimp and pancetta in a delicious sauce before moving onto fresh bread and a grilled Cesar salad. These were followed by pasta dishes gnocchi in a Bolognese before moving onto the branzino which is flown in fresh daily from Italy. The desert was cannoli which is made with a delicious cream unlike any I’ve had before. Everything was delicious the hospitality off the charts good. It is amazing the time he took with us and various tables and the passion of the staff. A must on every future visit to Baltimore.

We had a nice dinner before a concert. Our waiters were so nice, friendly & efficient. They took time to talk as well as give great service. The espresso martini was delicious. I don't like coffee but even I ordered one. Food was fresh & presented nicely. We made a reservation but didn't really need it because we were there at 5pm. The restaurant has a unique layout with a bocce ball court.

We were unsure about where to eat, but lucky my friend Andrea and I stumbled upon La Scala. We were absolutely amazed by the delicious authentic food but especially the warmth the staff granted us. Both our stomachs and hearts are full! We would return from Texas to just have food here again.

Love this place! Great ambience for a date night, the food was amazing, the service was excellent and quick. I got the Fettucine Samantha and it might have been the best Italian I’ve ever had

La Scala was excellent. Cozy, classic Italian vibe with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The pasta and other Italian dishes were fresh, flavorful, and satisfying — everything tasted homemade. Service was friendly and attentive. Great spot for a relaxed dinner with friends or family.

I am pretty sure I was discriminated because I was Asian in this place. when we showed up for our dinner reservation, they put us to a seat right in middle of hallway with stair next to it initially. When I confronted and asked if you do not have any table inside the main room, the staff said it's all reserved. I asked can you check again because we also reserved, she rolled her eyes, went back down stairs, and seated us in other corner seat at the edge of main hall. Couple party who came right after us were seated in main room tables right from start (same number of people also).. We stayed for around an hour and I saw that some of the tables still remained unoccupied and the initial table that the staff seated us were unoccupied entire time we stayed. This reinforced my feeling that the staff deliberately discriminated due to my Asian ethnicity and tried to fill the worst table with us

I do not know if it is one staff's action or management instruction,, but what's certain is that they seated my party to their worst seats first when there were plenty of other tables unfilled. Please stop subtle racism because we know it.

I was there 2 years ago for my wife’s birthday and we just made reservations for our anniversary next weekend! I will be posting pictures so you all can see all the good food.

Well we made it back to celebrate our anniversary and my brothers birthday. The crew that worked the tables were excellent, food was amazing, glad we made it back.
