Unfortunately, the food wasn't good at all, the attention was horrible, and they charged us not the price that was on the menu but some arbitrary numbers. Not going back ever again. Para mala suerte, la comida estuvo mala, la atención fue terrible y no nos cobraron el precio que estaba en el menú pero un precio arbitrario. Soy ecuatoriano y estaba contento de ir ahí pero No regreso nunca a ese lugar.

Horrible ? the food tastes ugly, the onion is a real mess ? and the treatment is worse, the food is worse, and the juice is ugly and expensive to top it all off, better cut that ??

first time in here, cozzy place, I liked what they did with the tables, they used a material 2 cover them under the plastic tablecloth that is very Andean native. nice!the lady who took the order and brought the food was very friendly and patient, I got a dish from "à la carte" and my friend got a lunch special, both had a good taste, definitely a place 2 comeback 2 get more authentic ecuadorian food since there r just a few ecuadorian restaurants in the DMV area, they r all the way up in Queens NY. ??

Worst experience at a local restaurant. Let me start with host, he was not friendly or helpful, did not come to check on us even one time. When I told him that my food was not good he did not try to see if I wanted something else he just walked away. I ordered Seco de Chivo and it was mostly bones with fat and little meat, I hardly touched my serving. To add insult to the injury the prices on the menu were not what we were charged!!! When we asked why? They said that they changed the prices last month and couldn’t honor the menu prices!!As an Ecuadorian I am surprised and disappointed with such poor service and the lack of quality in the overpriced food!! Would not return!!!El servicio y La comida son de baja calidad. Los precios altos por una mala comida!! La carta del menú tiene un precio pero te cobran más alto. Gato por liebre en pocas palabras!!

I was pleased to learn about the existence of an Ecuadorian restaurant. However, excitement turned to disappointment.Food: As a native of Guayaquil, the dishes we ordered from "la Costa", were subpar. The chivo had no "sour" base, the guatita had "pureed potatoes" to thicken it, instead of the traditional thick peanut base, the encebollado made us cry... the type of fish is EVERYTHING on this one.Service: I know we're a long way from home, but customs, courtesies and good manners should not be diluted. It's what makes us such a wonderful culture and dining experience. Arriving and not being welcomed is a bad start. No offers for drinks for a few minutes. Then even longer until the 4 soft drinks arrived from the fridge that was 5 feet away. Eventually we were able to place our order. The wait time others mentioned was not exaggerated. I'm willing to forgive the long wait as long as 2 basic principles of dining out are met: the food should be good (it wasn't) and the server must maintain the pulse of their table constantly or at least once checking in (they didn't). The food arrives, no silverware for several more minutes. And now for the worse of it all... the sweeping while diners are still seated eating (still within business hours) was not cool. Nobody likes a dustup when you're having a meal. And then comes the mop bucket with good ole pinosol or fabuloso or whatever it was...just unacceptable to slap the mop around with pungent chemicals while we are still seated. I politely asked them to stop, for the sake of my asthmatic family member and for the patrons that came in and were seated for service. In all, I am a huge supporter of family owned everything. But placing the flag and making some dishes "your way" is not traditional or authentic...not by a long shot. If you're going to serve Ecuadorian dishes, make a strong attempt to prepare them with their original recipes, seasonings and ingredients. Otherwise, all the effort you are already placing to serve people is significantly lost in the peanut sauce.PS the music on the TV was fun and culturally representative of our beautiful Country.

As a first-time visitor to an Ecuadorian restaurant, I wasn't sure of the meals. The food was delicious and exotic as it encompasses different types of meat and seafood.

I have searched high and low for an Ecuadorian restaurant in the area with no luck. I found this one in Baltimore and I will say it is worth the drive. It's a little place with about 8 tables, family owned and run so wait time can be a bit long but the good is well worth it. Their bolon de verde is excellent, the seco, the guatita, all very good. If you've ever wanted to taste as close to authentic ecuadorian food... this is the place

Lunch special is from 11am-3:30pm. When I came on Wednesday it was sopa de cebada and Tallarin de pollo con arroz blanco. It came with agua de jaimaca. My husband order guatita. The food is favorable. The portion for the guatita was small. The service was nice. Ambiance is chill. Doesn't get packed. Street parking available. I would come back because it's the only Ecuadorian restaurant available in the whole dmv :( also my mom is in NY :( i miss her Ecuadorian food! I love guatita. Chucha!

I ordered inside for carry out. It was my first time visiting this restaurant and the cashier was very helpful with the menu. My favorite part of the meal was the shrimp; it had so much flavor that I almost ignored the rest of the food. I was excited to try the ceviche but they forgot to pack it with my food

Really friendly staff and owner. The breakfast was so good (empanadas de verde) that I stayed for lunch. Encebollado mixto! I recommend if you are in the area and miss Ecuadorian food.
