Great experience, server was very kind, food was ok, I didn't love the sauce for the crab pasta. It was very al dente which I love. Burratta salad again was ok

It has been a year since I ate here while visiting family and my wife and I still talk about their gnocchi- I would be a fat man if they were local to me.

Drinks and service were excellent. Food was not quite up to what I expected. I love that the pasta is homemade but more care in the preparation may be needed to make it feel as fresh as we are told it is.

Baltimore is Little Italy has a new bright shining star! Recently purchased by a young chef from Sardinia Italy, La Tavola, fresh new dishes and exciting menu. Native dishes from Sardinia like cuguliones And others highlight the attention to detail in their exciting new kitchen! I highly recommend this restaurant for their excellent food and remarkable service. Ron don’t walk to La Tavola.

We were really disappointed by our meal here given all the positive reviews. The special seafood tortellini had overly thick pasta and wasn’t even cooked through on the thickest folded bits. Just a chewy mess. The seafood stuffing was really dense and didn’t taste like much of anything. The mushroom ravioli was better but also overly thick pasta. The Parmesan cheese was pre grated and was spooned out of a bowl with the plastic wrap still on top of it. Just not up to the standards you would expect from the prices they charge.

We were excited to get a reservation at La Tavola after reading the reviews - most were very good, a few that were disappointing. Service was fast, great, and the people pleasant. My bruschetta consisted of 4 pieces of bread that had diced tomatoes on it that were mushy - no seasoning at all. I asked for balsamic vinegar to add some flavor to it, and that helped. My wife enjoyed her soup as well as her seafood dish, however, I had the veal in a white wine sauce and that was not very good. The veal was tender, however, I believe it was the capers in the sauce that made the sauce VERY strong, like vinegar. Not enjoyable at all. I don't know if their normal chef was off that night, but it was not good at all. Dessert was a 3 cheese cheesecake which was very good. I cannot recommend going here as it was not a good meal, especially after spending around $140 for the two of us.

Get the squid pasta and tellagio linguine dish. Absolutely delicious. La Tacoma serves up classic Italian but executed beautifully. Will def go back. Also the bartender was so good!

La Tavola has been one of our favorite Italian restaurants for several years. We always considered it somewhat of a secret place, as it didn't get the visibility of some of the more well-known restaurants in Little Italy. The menu was many of the Classics, but with their Venetian influence, there was a lot of great seafood dishes, such as fish baked in a puff pastry. Everything I had there was excellent when I came to the rest of this time it was different. There was some music playing, which I can describe Best as something Italian contemporary. I got the beef carpaccio as a starter, which is one of my favorites. The beef was fine, but there was very little of the great shredded Parmesan, few capers, and instead of a huge pile of arugula. I also had the mushroom ravioli as my main, it was good, but not special. I overheard conversations and I soon realized that the restaurant had been sold six months earlier. It was not a bad experience, but I have to be honest and say it wasn't the same. I hope the new owners figure it out.

Food and service could have been better. Service coordination was off. Starter arrived before drinks. Then before we are finished with drinks the wine we ordered with our entrees arrived. Started bruschetta was good though toast was burnt on one side. The entrees, lasagna was good but again it was half eaten before the waiter arrived with cheese. The saltimbucco veal was over cooked and the mix vegetables were two small slices of zucchini. Over all not the best of little Italy.

The food was surprisingly ordinary. For this price, I definitely expected better. I got the squid ink pasta with “fresh” crab. The crab was most definite canned, and the dish as a whole was flavorless.

I made reservations for Valentines. We arrived late but they held our reservation. They offered a limited 4 course meal with a bottle of prosecco for only $75 per person. Our server was delightful. The pasta is made in house. My favorite was the occobuso over risotto....juicy and full of flavor. What an amazing Italian dinner experience! The setting was romantic also. Perfect for Valentines.

The server was personable, had great recommendations and made it feel like we were part of the family. The food was exceptional. We had the ravioli and the linguine taleggio. Unbelievable flavors. If you get dessert, try the torta di formaggio and the tartufo al cioccolato. You will be in heaven.
