We went to the Lord Baltimore Hotel on 2/28 for the evening magic show (which was amazing). We decided to have dinner at LB Tavern, the restaurant in the hotel, for convenience. It was, by far, THE worst service I have ever had at a restaurant. The restaurant area is very small and when we arrived there were still several tables available. We waited for over 15 minutes to be seated and no one even came over to us. We finally walked over to the bartender and he told us to sit anywhere and someone would come over to us. We were sitting for another 15 minutes and I didn’t see a single server anywhere that entire time. I finally saw someone and waved at her and she acknowledged me, but did not come over. We sat for another 10 minutes before we saw 2 seats open up at the bar. Nick, the bartender, was able to take our order and get us a few drinks. There were 3 female servers that were standing by the kitchen door the entire time we were sitting at the bar just talking. Trays of food that were ready were sitting on the counter for over 5 minutes before one of them grabbed it and took it to the table. I watched the servers grab drink garnishes (cherries and olives) with their bare hands after touching food trays, money and credit cards, and the register. I wish I could say at the very least the food was really good, but it was less than mediocre. Would never recommend this place and will never return.

My wife and I had an unfortunately bad experience — slow kitchen, bad food, bad cocktails.
First, we had a margarita and old fashioned that weren’t enjoyable. The appetizer we ordered didn’t come out for 40 minutes and then all our food came out a couple minutes later. The soft pretzel appetizer was overdone and the beer cheese just seemed like nacho cheese. We had a BLT with no tomato and the least flavorful bacon we’ve ever had. The breading on the fish and chips was also overdone and thick - hard to cut through.
Our server was friendly and aware of the kitchen being slow. We don’t blame him for the experience, but the food and drink was pretty bad overall. We were very surprised and felt we had wasted a lot of money there.
EDIT: I contacted the manager who replied to this review, and they sent me a very generous coupon to try the experience again (including hotel, food, valet). It was generous, and the manager was very responsive. In November 2025, we stayed the night and had a meal at LB Tavern. A greatly improved experience -- food and cocktails were all very good, and the waiter (Ray) was exceptional. He was friendly, helpful and even made the cocktails. The stay was nice too. Happy to modify this review to 5 stars now!

If I could give this place a zero I would. Worst service I’ve ever had at a bar… got one beer then we were never looked at again. At one point I called the name of one of the bartenders “Karisa” who was pouring a beer right in front of me. She didn’t even look at me. No acknowledgement whatsoever. She then went and took her nametag off! So she clearly heard me asking to pay my bill. After waiting to pay our bill for over 30 minutes we finally just left. Extremely rude, very low quality employees and service. Don’t waste your time, especially if Karisa is working.

I just feel like as a bartender I watch and observe, and the bartenders and servers were rude here. There was no good hospitality at all. I asked for a Caesar salad with lettuce dressing on the side he says well it’s Already a good amount of dressing on there, not in a funny way. Ok….. The girl behind the bar went missing and there was like only the guy and it took a good 5 to 10 minutes for a menu

We were told we could order only a beer and must take it to our room. Several other bar patrons remained with full drinks and were not rudely told to take their drinks to their rooms. Rude, illogical bartender.

Our server, Debbie was wonderful and so was the food. Being a foodie, the cobb salad was huge, delicious, and very well presented.y wife's portabella BLT was also great. Well worth the trip and the Magic show afterwards was a great addition to oir evening.

We stopped here after a long day at a conference and networking event - we were also staying at the hotel. The food was good - I had the poboy (good, but the oysters had some shell in them). My colleagues had the burger (good), the NY Strip (very good), and the sorbet (good). The waiter was friendly and attentive. It was convenient and got the job done.

Shout out to Elizabeth! Came in for an event at the Hotel and ordered from the Tavern. Elizabeth was taking orders and making drinks. I could tell things were busy for her but she had a great attitude and still provided wonderful service. Elizabeth thank you so much for your service!
Miss Debbie, Clarissa, and China treated me and my LegalShield business partner/fam Lucius Williamson Jr like kings Saturday evening. My wings were hot and fresh and served with a smile. I met a patron there and he bought me 2 Long Island Iced Teas drinks. I look forward to visit Baltimore MD and stay at LB tavern again in the near future.

Staying at the hotel for 5 days and Was willing to order food and bev for 5 of 7 of us. Then we were told if we we're having a meeting we need to leave because 2 friended joined us with food. They were going to leave to eat. With the rudeness of the staff, We asked to take it to go and that was an inconvenience. We were holding up a table. See picture... not sure who we were holding tables from. Unless you want to feel like a burden, I'd keep driving or order doordash. I've never been treated like this.

What an exciting night to be here! I am here enjoying restaurant week. Food was delishous. Po boy, Oysters and cheesecake. Tonight in the lobby, I witnessed my very 1st dog wedding. Ruff ruff you read right. A catered dog wedding between a pit and a terrier. Complete with dog guess and thier owners in black tie. Happy birthday to me.
