With a recent infatuation of fresh made pasta and my love of cozy quaint restaurants, Love, Pomelo was a must try on my list.
I've walked by Love, Pomelo on numerous occasions and never knew that some of the most delicious pasta was being made. I made a reservation for one and took a seat at the bar for the evening. The ambiance invoked a comforting romance novel, dimly lit with soft antique touches.
Since I planned my visit on a Wednesday during happy hour, I was able to not only partake in happy hour, but also their $20 pasta specials. So, I started with a Spritz as my cocktail and some of their broccoli, which I never knew broccoli could be the main focus and taste so damn good. Perfectly seasoned, crisp, and full of garlic flavor. I'm still dreaming of this broccoli. I opted for a red sauce rigatoni pasta with guanciale, and this pasta literally made my soul dance. A little red pepper flakes on the side for heat and I was in heaven. I couldn't end the night without dessert, although I was stuffed. So, I settled on a small serving of Amaro & Gelato. The sweet Amaro liquor poured over two small scoops of real pistachio gelato was the perfect nightcap to a beautiful meal.
Between the fresh made pasta and broccoli, Love, Pomelo has stolen a piece of my heart, to which I cannot wait until my next visit to relive the experience.

Cute Italian date night spot! The burrata appetizer was the star. Homemade pastas. Great deal on Wednesdays.

their menu can be extremely trimmed down depending on when you go. i was excited for options i saw on their menu online and on reviews but we only had 3 options for the starters and steak and chicken cacciatore for entrees.
i figured it this was my mistake-- should have expected this because of their big event on valentines day later this week. but my friend went two weeks ago and also had the same issue! pretty disappointing. if im going to drop $200 on dinner it's not worth the risk of returning and being disappointed again
the a'matriciana is very nice. so is their lambrusco and tiramisu. the funghi pasta was good too but not as good. our server was great, and the table service in general is excellent.

We were very excited to dine here, as friends have had excellent experiences and we are big fans of Café Dear Leon. Unfortunately, we were mostly disappointed.
To start, we ordered the stracciatella cheese, chicken meatballs, and foie gras. The stracciatella was great, and the chicken meatballs were fine but a bit plain. The foie gras, however, was not good—metallic and funky. We each took one bite and couldn’t eat any more. We’ve had foie gras many times elsewhere, and this tasted off.
The pasta dishes (carbonara and cacio e pepe) were well prepared with a nice texture, but both sauces were overly salty.
Lastly, the scallops were cooked nicely but, again, were over-seasoned and otherwise not particularly memorable. Overall, the portions were light, but this was expected.
The tiramisu, bread, and stracciatella were the highlights. We had heard great things and perhaps this was simply an off night, but at $170, we won’t be returning to find out.

Love that this place makes the pasta in house - which should be a pre-requisite for any Italian restaurant in this area. We did the three course meal and it was perfect start to finish - highly recommend the burrata, mussels, any of the pastas, and the steak. Great to see a spot like this doing well and this should be on your shortlist for Italian food in Baltimore.
Atmosphere is perfect for date nights and it’s right on the square, making it easy to get drinks before or after.

My wife and I went here for a late dinner on a Friday after driving all day from out of town to make a flight after our flights from the NYC airports were cancelled. It was perfect! We had cocktails, mussels, salad, and pasta; the food was amazing. The staff was so kind; the bartender even gave us a handwritten list of bars to visit after our meal. Highly recommend!!

Cute, inviting, cozy restaurant with both excellent food and service! Our server was very friendly and answered all of our questions about the menu. They even noted that we said that we were on a date night and brought us a candle with our dessert at the end as well as a rose for us to take home, which was a really thoughtful gesture. The food was amazing too! Not too heavy or overly filling. We will be back for sure! :)

LP is one of my favorite places in Baltimore. Toni at the bar is so wonderful - highly recommend popping in for a drink from her!
This restaurant is straight out of a tv show or movie in terms of quality of food, service attention to detail, and ambiance. Even the music playlist on in the background set a great vibe. The drinks were excellent, the Buratta was extremely flavorful (best I've ever had possibly), we shared the A'Matriciana and Bolognese Bianco which both were amazing, and finished it off with Tagliata Di Manzo which was cooked to perfection. Will put this restaurant in my normal rotation going forward

We added that it was our anniversary in the reservation and while some restaurants completely ignore something like that, Love, Pomelo went above and beyond. They set up a nice table with a beautiful rose which they wrapped up nicely and gave to us at the end of dinner. Everyone from the hostess to the waitress said happy anniversary and truly made it so special. On top of it all, the food was delicious. Couldn’t recommend this restaurant more for special occasions

Charming vibes with an upstairs. Try to get seated in the bottom level if you can! It is a little cuter in opinion. Hands down the best strip steak I’ve had at a restaurant. PERFECTLY cooked and served with an incredible chimichurri sauce.

I've been to Love Pomelo multiple times and always have a great experience. The food is amazing -the ingredients used are fresh and seasonal and put together with a lot of thought and care to make delicious and unique dishes. The atmosphere is spot on- its like casual and elegant at the same time and there's always a nice buzz in the place but there's also usually a couple spots at the bar whenever I go . The service is top notch- thoughtful and attentive without being too much. This place is just what the neighborhood was missing. *chefs kiss*

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Best dining experience I’ve ever had.
Love, Pomelo is on a clear path to earning a Michelin star. We did the pre-fixe menu with wine pairings, and every course was flawless. The black truffle pasta was rich and unforgettable, the caviar was perfectly balanced, and the chef’s special duck breast was easily one of the best dishes I’ve ever tasted—crispy skin, tender meat, and beautifully presented.
Service was warm, knowledgeable, and well-paced. The wine pairings elevated every bite and made the night feel effortless and refined.
If you’re looking for an elevated, intimate culinary experience, Love, Pomelo is it. Absolutely worth every penny.
