Been eating here for years and was poisoned Saturday 09/30/23 from eating the Teryaki chicken with shrimp lo mein. I believe the DPW current situation with contaminated water supply could be the issue.

Walked through after visiting Faidley's. I understand that years ago this was a thriving market with all kinds of stall and vendors. Now it appears to be a handful of sellers and the rest are restaurants and quick service stalls. Lots of food options but were little market to speak of.

old, rundown, unattractive market with empty, broken down stalls and sketchy activity in and around the neighborhood. Baltimore should be ashamed for letting this place become such a ****hole. anyone who had seen it on TV previously would not recognize it today. a few stalls seemed to still care about how they present themselves and their products but you have to look around & through the filth. very unfortunate. i say either clean it up or knock it down and start over again.

If I lived near Lexington Market, I would be shopping for most of my groceries from this place. Great meats, fish and produce. Wish I had access to such a market in Minnesota. Nothing beats fresh food!

The customer service is constantly quick, excellent vibes, very friendly staff. I will return again when I get here.

Horrible place! One reviewer said “it’s just a hangout place for junkies” and I have to agree. In addition: - both patrons and vendors without masks or not wearing masks correctly....including this one nasty officer we ran into in the parking garage. When asked to pull up her mask she started yelling at us. - no social distancing enforcement - the place is dirty and probably wouldn’t pass any sort of safety inspection - the elevators smell of pee - the food is a mix of greasy and nothing special and the fish stink If you’re looking for a good, clean, safe market with out of the ordinary food and a safe environment, try Union Market. We went there yesterday and had a great time.

We arrived at this spot for dinner. my friend recommended this restaurant. Well, it was a winning. the staff members were so friendly and we had an excellent feeling. The meal was yummy. We had a great time and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Keep it up.

We were a bit concerned about how we were going to visit this place after reading reviews here on TripAdvisor describing the sketch area. A local at our hotel advised us to enter from the Greene Street/North Paca Street side which was the safer approach. We took his suggestion and walked over from Poe’s grave and didn’t have any problems. It was interesting walking through this market and one could feel the history here. There were a lot of people inside so this market seems to still be doing well. There were also a good number of security officers patrolling the market. Most visitors were fine although there was the occasional patron who reeked of urine. However we never felt unsafe and we were glad we came. Most popular spots were crab cakes at Faidley's and fudge covered cookies at Berger. Clean restrooms were located upstairs. Several locals mentioned that renovations should have or will be starting soon. We did not notice anything other than an occasional closed stall.

This place is awesome! Reasonable pricing, big portions and the employees are always kind.

Went in the morning, there were about half the stalls open but all had locals ordering. Faidely's is also located there and enjoyed some amazing Oysters (too much Mayo in their crab cakes)! Place is a bit run down, has parking but not located in the best neighborhood. At the end of the day, the oysters made the trip worth while.

You need to look beyond the area which might be a wee rough but at no point did I feel uncomfortable, and the inside has seen better days which is all the charm. The moment you walk around and see lines at all the food counters you know you will make a wish choice at what ever counter you buy food from because the lines do not lie!! The only overwhelming issue is where will you eat from!!!
