Mackey’s Caribbean Cuisine

I ordered from door dash but that’s no excuse for the food to be dry as it was and old… the chicken had to be day(s) old AND it was burnt!! The Mac was stiff! Lol and lacked flavor. The rice was flavorful but also seemed days old. Very! Disappointing! Take a look at the picture of chicken I’ve attached. You can see for yourself. Mr Mackey, you should definitely work on these complaints you’re receiving instead of being defensive!! Your business is at risk!

The lady taking orders wouldn’t give her name but she was very rude. She displayed an attitude of not wanting to wait on customers, she didn’t wait to get my complete order.

They really sent me some old chicken on my door dash. I'm pissed. This chicken was made yesterday or days ago.

I paid 30 dollars for a platter and was given two tiny pieces of oxtail and two small pieces of chicken!!!
They was extremely rude when I kindly asked about more food. The food wasn’t even that good to make up for any of it.

Would highly recommend going to another restaurant.

Not sure why the reviews arent higher for this spot. We've ordered out here for the past 4 years... never had a single problem. Food is great quality and cooked/seasoned excellent.
If you havent had Mackey's and want some good food, give them a try. You wont be dissapointed !

I found it weird how the owner only take time to answer some comments but not the ones about the terrible food. I stop eating from here after the original people when it was blue pelican. Once the owner took over it the food been trash, yellow rice is not Jamaican food and with all these pictures he have and had nothing to say. People need to stop eating this food, someone will get sick and that is how he will stop once they sue him. He have the wrong time on his hands.

So I went to Mackeys today to get a curry chicken platter, they had no cabbage so I ask for a substitute vegetable she said 2 more 2$ I’m like how if you don’t have what I supposed to get , long story short I didn’t get the food because I refuse to pay extra for a vegetable I supposed to get so I said take a 1$ off since you don’t have cabbage she said no so I said I’ll take my business elsewhere

If I could give a negative number, I would. I received spoiled food, smdh. Instead of rice and peas, I got yellow rice. I can go on and on, but the fact that they gave me spoiled food speaks volumes.

This place has really changed for the worst every since the old ownership sold this man absolutely don’t know anything about Caribbean food the food is very very dry and always out dated I try repeatedly to try patronize this black business in my area but he continues to fail time after time I’m completely done maybe he need to focus on the crab spot he owns cause this is not it for him sorry!!!!!

The cook was very unprofessional.and at the same time she was taking orders. Very rushy,rude to my friend while he was deciding on what he wanted to get.upon receiving our food.i ordered macaroni and cheese. In which looked like a year old tried to make it I don't know what she thought was macaroni and cheese. But that wasn't it.the elbows was very dry. Look like she just took some sherreded cheese and just sprinkled some on top.the brown rice tasted like the rice was brought from the supermarket. Already made rice. The you just have to put in the microwave. I was supposed to get jerk chicken. Turned out it was regular chicken that was basically burnt. My friend food was awful 😖 he ordered the ocktail's in which she didn't cook them right at all was so chewy.gave him a whole bunch of brown rice with beans.i forgot the other side order he got BUT WON'T BE EVER GETTING OUR BUSINESS AGAIN. AND THE PLATER'S WAS VERY EXPENSIVE. $20.00 A piece with taxes. And you know the funny thing is that a customer warrend me not to eat from this place.
